Return processing charge

I must have missed this. I just received notification of a return - the item price minus a $3.50 return processing charge.

Very discouraging. I will be taking less changes on ordering items going forward.

If that was the origianal shipping charge, then you would not get that back. I am more careful when ordering ever since they now deduct the original shipping charge..

No, it was not the original shipping charge; it was in addition to it.

No offense but I think you must be mistaken. Sometimes deciphering the return amount is confusing but the only additional fee they charge is for the return label - $6.95 - if you use it. The original shipping costs are deducted. And if you used Easy Pay they both are deducted from the first installment.

I'm sincerely not trying to be difficult. You're saying that the following was your deductions:

$3.50 original shipping fee to you

$6.95 return label fee

$3.50 processing charge ????

Total deductions from your refund: $13.95 ????

If this is so, I will really slow down on any purchases from QVC in the future. That's not a good way to do business. Thanks to the OP for letting us know.

It sounds like the original S&H to me. If there has been a double deduction of that, contact CS.

I just had a refund and they didn't refund $3.50 the orginial shipping cost which is what they have always done plus the $6.95 for using their return label.

Where do you find return breakdowns of charges? Is there more than one place now to get the itemized receipt for what it costs to return?????

I agree - they did that quite a few years ago. Not that I did/do many returns, but I am a little more careful when ordering... LOL

I'm finding that I am returning fewer " cheap " items, meaning 30.00 and less. Like zero that I can think of this year. I hate the rigamarole of a return, never check the bookkeeping, just trusting that they are more accurate than I am. One of the three St. Vincen'ts that I donate to are happy to take new items. It makes me a lot more careful ordering.

The item was $40. I paid the return shipping myself since there was no enclosed packing slip so there was no 6.95 charge for return shipping. Therefore I should have been refunded the full $40 item price, right?

Actually it looks like I was charged $3.09, not $3.50 as I originally thought.

Does this make sense to anyone? This is copied from the order summary:

Subtotal: $40.00

Shipping and Handling: $3.50

Tax: $3.86

Order Total: $$47.36

Refund Issued: $36.91

Total $ 47.36

S&H - 3.50

Return - 6.95

Refund 36.91

The issue seems to be the return fee. Maybe someone on the board can help you be I recall them having to notify QVC if you paid yourself. I may be wrong but I think that return fee of 6.95 is automatically deducted. Just contact them and let them know. But, I do not see that 3.09 you are referring to.

I use to pay return shipping myself but learned its cheaper using their 6.95 label.

I would never pay for a return myself. I don't think $6.95 for a stick-on lable and return shipping is unreasonable, and I wouldn't hassle with postage and shipping myself for that amount no way.

As others have said you were erroneously charged for using their return label.

Email the Social Team at QVC as Susan instructed - they'll adjust it.
