A decision I did not want to make

I know it seems ridiculous to stop watching a show because of who anchored the program. Having been a grief counselor for years I soon realized people make very strong attachments and find it hard to move on when someone or something is removed from their life.
I have been a customer for 20+ years and loved not only some terrific clothes, household items, and garden equipment, but also the banter between host and guest.
Because of some recent changes I feel I cannot watch as regularly as in the past. I know QVC is a business and in it to make money. I just do not want them to have anymore of my money. I am just sounding off.

I find your feelings quite understandable. It is apparent many others agree with you. I also am appalled by some of the hosts that have been let go and even more agrieved (sp?) by some who remain. Yet, I still tune in and then will purchase online as I simply cannot bear to watch quite a few of the presenters. It is a real shame. I used to watch much, much more often.

I am sorry for all who are upset about the changes, but hope and acceptance of change help us move through life and be open to new blessings that we may not see otherwise.

I hope you find new things you enjoy, new people to watch on tv, and yet have your happy memories and fondness for other people and things that you encounter throughout life.

I used to keep QVC on in the background for noise and I do buy....

I can not stand the noise that they make now!

The voices, the methods...I can accept new as long as it is as pleasant but not when it is not comfortable!

When it comes down to it, the only way you can show the Q you don't approve of their practices is to not shop with them anymore.

Are you comparing the loss of a loved one (your reference to being a grief counselor)to the dismissal of some show host trying to sell you something?

I wish you well but I think anyone that forms attachments to show hosts designed to make you part with your $$$$, are better off thinking about a change of venue.

This is the problem with QVC. They want to make you feel that you are part of a family or group of friends. They let go of hosts that inspire that goal. QVC cannot have it both ways. They are either a family atmosphere or a business whose bottom line is money. I wish they would stop with the party atmosphere of having hosts wearing pajamas and drinking wine as if they were having an adult slumber party. QVC is not family it is a business.

I was sorry to see Jon Stuart leave hosting The Daily Show...I didn't post on sites and mourn his leaving. Comparing the grief of losing a loved one to the departure of a tv salesperson is beyond me.

QVC has been going down hill for a long time. Sales are always the same. Same vendors, Hiring,Firing, Odd pairings, drinking wine, hosts talking, interrupting.
TBTB don't get it and eventually lose the crazy and their business

I find it very strange for a grief counselor to analogize a TV home shipping host being let go to a loved one dying. I have no doubt you will get over your loss.

@Tatanoo46 It's okay for you to sound off. Sometimes it is hard to move on from something we have known for an extended amount of time. Give it a bit of time and space and hopefully, whatever is bothering you will be better.

I have no issue with QVC being a for profit company but also projecting a friend / family like atmosphere. It's not like they lay people off every year. The last layoff I can remember was in 2018 I believe.

Both characteristics can exist at the same time.
