Meet our Hosts

Still a few yuks on there - wish QVC would do some housecleaning. Not in the 30 plus years I have been watching and habitully purchasing have there been so many hosts I just cannot watch. Used to I could watch at night, there would not be the same dancing face on there just about every night, and I truly enjoyed all the hosts. Not so these days. But of course that is just my opinion and hope this posts doesn't get booted. Just me exercising my freedom of speech.

I think the more we protest about the "dancing queen", the more determined it makes them to keep her. Maybe we should layoff for a bit and see if they come to their senses on their own as the revenue continues to drop because nobody is watching.

I feel the same way. It's sad to see a host you like go, especially since their are so few that are watchable. The night crew is awful and i am not watching them. i am watching netflix and hulu. Shipping is awful, returns getting worse, no return labels inside, and it takes so long ! QVc is not going to last this way.

@Magicrat I agree. I was actually tempted to buy something I saw this morning with Mary Beth on Leah's show. But then I thought, "Nope," not doing it. The usual night crew is unwatchable due to one host in particular.

I'm sure, after this last host incident, the rest of the QVC hosts are walking on eggshells. It has to make them nervous, concerned and ill at ease about what the future holds for them at QVC.

Just don't watch, it's just that simple. You have no control over what hosts come and go. Use your power to make decisions.

I have seen hosts come and go since I have been watching the Q for a long time. However, I do not rely on the Q for all my shopping as I enjoy going out to different stores and supporting local businesses. There is room for both and I have cut down on shopping at the QVC site for many reasons.

Seeing hosts leave doesn't affect me as seeing stores I love close for good.

@just wonder One thing is for sure. As upset as I have been with QVC at times, I continue to occassionally watch and purchase. My main purchases from Denim and Company and Quacker Factory. I've long since lost interest in the majority of anything QVC has to offer and the offerrings in both D & C and Quacker Factory has been stale and old or not available, so there has been less and less orders for me.

However, I WILL NOT be purchasing from a host I do not care for, and I will find another station to entertain myself. . I will go online, browse through the program guide and look for the item Im interested in and make my purchase .

So true. J.Jill closed their store near me during the pandemic. I had shopped there for nearly 20 years. Coldwater Creek closed long before that. I've been relying on QVC for casual clothing since J.Jill closed but the clothing are not as well styled and I cannot try things on of course or feel the fabric. I am not a fan of online shopping..

but keep in mind, Forum Standards apply, not our right to free speech.

Not saying you said anything wrong....just that Free Speech doesn't apply to privately run forums.

One of the newest hosts is completely unwatchable. The vendors are even cringing during her presentations. I can tolerate all of the hosts other than her. I loved Carolyn. I’ve been a customer for probably 27 years. I didn’t do any Christmas shopping on the Q ( and I told them) because 1/2 of what they send out are the wrong item. I even got a woman order from across the country. In the 1/2- the stuff isn’t new. Reeks of perfume, and should be “ as is”. Their shipping is too slow. I ordered a top this past Monday, and it’s still processing. I’ve been patient because of their fire and the pandemic… but this is part of their problem- if not most. My opinion anyway.

@Georgiagrama I am with you on that. I won't buy from JT at all. If she is on a video that sale is lost. They need to do something about her.

they would never get rid of Leah at this point in time....i sure she is safe

Leah is a fantastic host, so is Mary Beth in my opinion. I would be surprised if QVC terminated either of them. Same goes for Pat D. If QVC let her go so would Susan Graver and her whole line. These hosts actually let their guests speak without talking over them.

The Graver line is owned by QVC. I cannot recall any product lines that "left" because a host did.

I ordered a top last weekend and it was at my house 4 days later - including the invoice. I've never received any clothing smelling of perfume. Even the "As Is" products I've ordered in the past were always in pristine condition.

Same here. Kathy Levine. Lisa Robertson (never understood the hate for her), Judy Crowell, Paul Deacy to name a few. Almost forgot Jill Bauer. Wonder what made some of them leave. Some were fired, I know, but some just quit.

A bit of "legend"......did you ever read the "infamous" thread "cheese in my pocket" which explained how some returns wind up being sent out as "new" merchandise.....(someone found a bit of cheese left in the pocket and forgot to remove it when they made a QVC return--- proof the item wasnt something sent out brand new directly from the factory but instead had a detour from another customer, THEN back to the Q and then on to yet another customer--hence the name of the thread!).....so even though not categorized as an "AS IS" item and instead its categorized as "new", these things can happen........
