I learned my lesson the hard way! I bought a pair of gold over brass hoop earrings that cost close to $100.00 and never wore them. I had them about 5 months and when I opened the box I noticed that the "gold plating" was gone and they turned to "BRASS"!!! I will never by gold plated/brass jewelry again and this message is a "WARNING" for those that do. I don't think QVC sells their brass jewelry anymore, but don't trust any shopping channel that does!!! It costs over $100 to re-plate them in gold!.......No thanks!!!......Has anyone else had this experience?

@SweetSpice buying plate is always a dicey proposition. There's really no way to know how much gold is there, and almost invariably it will wear off. What a disappointment for you! And an expensive one, too!

was it the Toscano brand that advertise that this problem does not occur ?

QVC had designer , Lsa Freede for Diamonique who still does have brass as base metal
