What is with Denim & Co pricing? It seems as if they are trying to keep up with designer brands, but they do not have the name recognition to do that. I don't think prices have risen that much on every day brands. They are pricing their items in line with Candace Cameron Bure and Isaac Mizrahi.

@Gkhm Why shouldn't D&C pricing be in line with CCB and Isaac? I would hardly call either elite brands. In fact in my considerable experience, D&C is much better quality. They all use the same grade materials and must all use the same transportation from Asia which has soared in price enormously. Did you think D&C would remain at pre-pandemic prices? You're being unrealistic.

I haven't noticed that Isaac almost doubled his prices and yes, more people know the names Isaac Mizrahi and Candace Cameron Bure than Gary Goben.

As for rising prices elsewhere...I agree not nearly as much as QVC.

My DCo items have been good quality. I do think the brand has been presented as more "everyday" clothes, so the price increases are surprising.

Before you get the wrong idea... my closet is full of Denim&co! Their quality is better than some however what I was saying… They do not have the name recognition to keep up with other designers... John Rivers, Lori felt,.... they are trying to keep up with the prices, but they do not have the name. That is fine, but their prices should be in line with other lesser known manufacturers.

Used to buy D&C but no longer. It has devolved into an unstylish ( huge prints and florals)

brand that routinely features tunics and other looks that scream ' old lady.'

Wouldn't be caught dead in this line.

I must say i do agree about the styles of alot of the D&C

fashions with loud prints and wide strips and crew necks

and long tunic that can scream old lady.......i still buy a product once in a while.....used to purchase often...not these days.............the prices are way too high at QVC

these days and that was started before the inflation issues. Much better deals and quality at major B&M stores.......

Well good grief, from an old lady that wears D&Co I mostly wait for items to go on sale to buy. To think just because D&Co is a casual line of clothing that their prices should not have gone up? Ludicrous. They are passing on their rising expenses to the consumer just like every other company. SMH

@mnmom I have tons of D&C stuff, mostly pants, that wear like iron. Some pairs I've had for years. It's no surprise their prices, like everyone else's, have gone up.

The cost of materials, labor and transport have all increased.

All of my Denim and Co. items are well made and I enjoy them. I also enjoy CCB, Peace Love World, and Barefoot Dreams.

To be honest, unless it's something I HAVE to have, I buy on clearance or sometimes as is so I rarely pay the original Q price and Denim and Co. usually has a reasonable clearance price.

I have noticed a significant increase in Denim & Co prices. Possibly brands such as Isaac, CCB, Graver, Logo, etc had slower price increases over time, where D&C seemed to leap to higher costs more slow and steady.

The point I would like to make is not about costs. Its the references to "old lady" clothes. What exactly is so wrong about looking like an old lady? Especially if one is an old lady. Be an old lady and be loud and proud!!! It's not something to be ashamed of or want to try to pretend you are not. Sorry if I have upset anyone here - I know that the old lady comments were not meant to be mean. I've got "a thing" about standing up to agism when I see it.

I really like Denim & Co clothes, although I mostly purchase tops and rarely pants. In fact, I rarely purchase pants on line at all unless I am absolutely sure of the fit in a brand I know. I don't care for Isaac Mazrahi or Candace Cameron Bure fashions and would never buy them for the name since they don't hold much interest for me. I will say I've never bought a D&Co top that I was unhappy with or that I thought was made from sub-standard fabrics. Oh, and I'm an old lady so...

I tend to agree with the OP. Denim & Co. is a very casual brand, so pricing should reflect that. For me, I prefer Issac's clothes because of the material and styling. D & C charges $40.00 for a top that I could buy for half price at Costco or Kohl's. Kim Gravel's line is one I didn't care for.

I've also noticed the higher prices for Denim &Co. They used to be my go to for quality, reasonably priced clothes...now I seldom buy and only when on sale. As for other lines, IMO, Belle is extremely over priced; CCB is too trendy for my taste; and Isaac is over rated. I'm not one to buy something because it's considered "designer wear".😏

I have not had any quality issues with QVC clothing and I purchase over a wide variety of brands. I like woven tailored blouses with jeans or leggings. I buy very little D&C & have nothing against the brand. But, Susan Graver woven blouses, Side Stitch, Joan Rivers & Laurie Felt are my go to for blouses.

As far as “old lady” & fashion, well I am one. I buy age appropriate and one can tell I’m an old lady, visually, not by the clothing I wear. Even toddler’s clothing has large floral design. Some people like flowers and loud prints no matter what their age. If you are of a certain age you are an “old lady” no matter what designer you wear. So no need to disparage people because their taste may be different. I’m happy to wake up each day & feel good. I mean what’s the alternative. If you don’t like certain brands don’t buy them no need for “old lady” comments.

We are amidst inflation and costs on everything have gone up, including clothing. I also purchase a lot from JJill & a plain blouse on their website is $258. And, you pay S&H but I see now if you purchase over $100 you get reduced shipping.

I agree about Costco. They have great deals at great prices but they are waaaay bigger than QVC.

I just don't understand why people complain about prices. There have always been and always will be things I cannot afford or am unwilling to pay the price for. Why complain about it? It is totally your decision whether or not to buy new clothing. And don't say you are surprised. Just look at what you pay for gasoline and that should tell you that everything else is increasing, too.

I'm older myself...but I wouldn't wear D&C, Liquid Knit or other styles Q presents as I find them Dowdy and unstylish.
