During ITKWD last Sunday, they confirmed that all of the Q channels will re-air previous shows all day on Christmas Day, but based on comments from hosts who are planning to fill in for some regulars (plus the program guide), Christmas Eve appears to have regularly scheduled programming—not sure if that will stop before midnight ET.

Haven't watched recently, but I thought they used to shut down live shows at 4 p.m. Christmas Eve and then start again at 8 a.m. Dec. 26. Not sure if that's the case anymore.

@catter70 You're correct.

Amy said she's closing down Chrstmas Eve; she has a 1-hour Isaac Mizrahi show at 3pm. Then it's pre-recording programming until Terri Conn starts live shows again on 12/26 at 8am.

Luckily for those that are homebound and might have to spend the holidays alone and rely on the TV for company, there are a lot of shows on that are a lot more entertaining. 📺📻🎄

Yes QVC can be quite comical and entertaining. There are so many better viewing options as you said. I hope all those that are alone or homebound can find something happy to view.

It sounds like they didn't film any Christmas programming this year, where they show the hosts with their families. Maybe a cost-cutting measure? I liked those shows, and thought it also gave their customer service and warehouse workers a break, because less orders would be coming in during the Christmas programming. Maybe QVC decided they really need more sales this year if they are skipping Christmas programming to re-air sales programs. I think this is the first time they have done this.

@scrapperlisa No. QVC has not shown those Christmas videos of hosts with their families in many years actually, at least 10 years or more.

They switched to showing QVC sponsorship and hosting the West Chester Christmas parade, but that ended about 3 or 4 years ago too.

It is disappointing that they are not showing Christmas programming this year. It is one of my Christmas traditions to tune in for this part. I really enjoyed last year when they did a collaboration of the spotlight on all of the small business that they have featured throughout the year given that they sell on their own forum the rest of the year. It was a nice touch to showcase these smaller companies during this time.

They could also show "Its a Wonderful Life" for 24 hours straight until everyone learns the dialogue by heart.
