It is with the heaviest of hearts that I share the news that our beloved Kiki peacefully went to the rainbow bridge early this morning. We loved her fiercely. She was a fiesty, funny, fabulous kitty. We were blessed to have her in our family for nearly 17 years. Many of you loved her too, and that helps us on this sad day. #heartbroken

It hurts no matter how long our pets live. The truth is, it's never long enough. I'm sure she's broken-hearted as all of us pet owners are at such a time.

Want to add my condolences, It's never easy to let of fur babies go . It's heartbreaking 😿 Such a sweet pic of the 2 of them. It's like he's saying Mom your smothering me ha! I recognize that look when I'm hugging just a little to tight cause we all say we love them so much 🙀 Our last kitty turned 22 today and is getting close to that day coming ..... We think of every day forward is special as we dont know when he will be crossing that bridge 🌈

Grief is grief, and it leaves a void. My heart goes out to Jane and her family. They have to create a new normal without KiKi. That isn’t easy. It takes time.

So sorry to hear about Kiki passing. As a cat Mom for decades, I know how hard it is to lose a furry friend. Hoping she will open her heart to another cat at some point since so many need a home.

This is so sad, but what is even sadder is that someone would use this thread to say something unkind about Jane at this time. Now that is just sickening. You know who you are and you have to look at yourself in the mirror every day.

My sympathy for Jane. Never easy. Good age for her cat and I have one who is 19 and out lived her 3 siblings who also were up in age. I raised them all and mommy cat too. Didn't have the heart to part with them. A stray who came knocking at my door and said can I stay.

I have one left from that adventure and my sisters cat who I took in when she passed.

Awe...it's so hard...especially when they have been a part of your life for so many years. They do remain in your heart forever though.
