@jax1 The QVC Outlets no longer have a newsletter on their website. In fact, their entire pricing structure for the outlet items have completely changed. Everything now has a 'You Pay Price'. They no longer have the percentage sales like the used to have which would say things like 60% off shoes or 50% off pocketbooks.

We used to go twice a year to Lancaster, not been in long time, but how I took advantage of those % off sales!!! Last time I went was 7 years ago and walked out empty handed, that was a sad day.

@Shelbelle Probably a good thing a qvc outlet is far from my state,I probably would spend way to much.Most outlets I have gone to are just so so,and bargins are few and far

After two years, my mom and I took a ride to the QVC Outlet in Lancaster. I was successful finding a pair of sketchers for $20 and a very large beautiful floor basket for $40. However we were shocked to see most of the outlet stores had closed since our last visit. Also saw some popular restaurants that had closed also. Definitely a sign of the times.

@Shelbelle Sorry you had that experience. It is truly hit-or-miss at the QVC outlet.

I live 25 minutes away and am there on a weekly basis!

I can always find something!

They have gone to "You Pay" pricing, much like they had when they first opened over 25 years ago. (I've been shopping there that long!) In addition, they offer a 10 percent Senior or Military discount.

The buys are fabulous! You may want to try visiting again.

I used to really look forward to it. I would buy bags full of clothes, jewelry, linens, shoes, purses, and the list goes on. Once bought a set of luggage. I remember they only had one fitting room, and the dust on the floor was about 3 inches thick!!! At the jewelry counter you had to take a number with a ticket like at a bakery and if they were super busy they would only allow each customer a certain amt of time to work with a clerk behind the jewelry counter.

@Shelbelle It has been a long time for me too. My mom passed in 2010 and she and I would go to the stores in Lancaster and Frazer at least 2x a month. (and we went to the Drexel Hill and Prices Corner, DE stores when they were open- Loved the Delaware store as there was no sales tax). There was a time when the jewelry counters did NOT have a "ticket" system. It really was chaotic as there was always some rude person who would jump in in front of others waiting and of course people who had no clue of what they wanted and would monopolize the salesperson for an hour while others waited. But they did have some great sales back then and I saved thousands of dollars on items that I purchased

Yes, the one in Rehoboth and Prices Corner were great, love the no tax too, on the jewelry but the Lancaster store was at least no tax on clothes and shoes.

@jax1 It depends on what you're looking for. If you are interested in clothing, it's usually a very reasonable price. I personally think it's a cheaper price than before with the percentages, but their dressing rooms are closed. So, unless you live close by or plan on going back within 30 days for a return, you can't try anything on.

It's also 'hit or miss' there. I found some very good bargains, but some same things sold at the outlet can also be found online in the 'clearance' prices or 'as is' prices for the same amount or nearly the same amount. So, it depends on what you consider a 'bargain.'

Personally, I stay away from anything electrical, mechanical, or battery operated because I don't live close to the outlet. If I get it home and it doesn't work, I'm stuck with it.

around 5 dollars cheaper than regular price and that is not much savings

without the percentage!!

There is an HSN outlet down the road from me here in Tampa. It's next door to a Hobby Lobby. I'm frequently in HL picking up items but, in the 5 years I've lived here, I've yet to see a single customer walk into the HSN outlet. Always looks deserted. QVC outlets may be different.

Yes, I remember that well, got so many bargains. I was there this pass weekend.. there are no more extra discounts on departments or monthly flyers, just you pay prices. The shelves were almost bare, did find a few things, but nothing like it use to be. My friend that came with me walked out after 10 minutes. I usually go often, about an hr from me. After this weekend I will probably only go if I'm passing thru the area. I think between covid, low sales, no help, and the general condition of this country has had an effect on retail.

I used to make a point of going to the Lancaster outlet every July because it was Customer Appreciation Month.

The line to get in was very long and when they opened the door it was a mad rush to grab what you could and sort through it later.

I remember $5.00 pants, $20.00 boots no matter what the original price was.

I also liked the store before the remodel. Yes, it was dusty and cluttered, but I didn't mind digging and picking my way through piles of stuff for the one treasure I couldn't pass up. Most people I know don't like to shop that way, but it was the thrill of the hunt for me.

I would go to the Lancaster one with my mom and friends. I found a Susan Graver fleece coat one day for $16, and I still have it. I purchased quite a few things over the years.

Now I've been finding QVC clothing here and there at Gabe's (Gabriel Brothers). I bought a Logo cardigan for under $20, still looked brand new. And Saturday I found a Lisa Rinna duster at a consignment shop down the street from me for $26.99, in great condition.

Yes. Great prices all the time but I have found that there is much less good quality merchandise and at times the shelves are not as full as they once were.
