New hosts

Too many new hosts for me. I don’t find any that are better than ones that were let go, I miss Stacey Stouffer (except we see her as a vendor rep), Gabrielle Kerr, Katie McGee, the lovely young woman from Nebraska whose name hss gone out of my head for the moment. Shopping with good, familiar faces? YES!

Mary Nelson is the host you're thinking of. She's a news anchor now.

Katie McGee is a traffic reporter.

Gabrielle Kerr works for Lug.

Also miss those you've mentioned (including Mary Nelson of Omaha who admits to being much happier than when a host). Imagine the other's quickly found their lives richer and more full-filling in the important things of life, too.

Makes me wonder if hiring experienced tv persons is one cause for turnover of hosts. Maybe it looks like a fun job until it isn't.

I can think of 2 particular hosts with no tv experience: Jen Coffee and Antonilla (sp).

It would be nice if they would resume posting the names of the hosts on the Program Guide, as they used to.

Interesting she told story about auditioning for Q. Said I was just a broke botique owner and was competiting with seasoned broadcasters! I fell for that story.

I looked up her LinkedIn. She did have 4 boutiques at one point. She also had a PR firm/was a social media specialist before the QVC job.

Found an article about her business Coffey Scott Media saying she had a TV gig with Time Warner:

A University of New Orleans graduate with 10 years in the San Antonio area, Coffey is the public relations director. She delved into social media several years ago as she began using outlets such as Twitter and Facebook to publicize her chain of four women's boutiques.

Additionally, Coffey is a television and online media host for Time Warner Cable and AraCeli TV. Because of the rising number of people, businesses and organizations using the Internet for different means globally, the use of social media is another means of advertising, Coffey explained.

“Coffey Scott prides itself on being true experts in the fields of social media. Now more than ever, an individual's or company's image and reputation rely heavily on what we call an online presence,'” Coffey said.

Thank you. Yes, Mary Nelson. Lovely, pleasant. No hard sell. She’s missed as are the others I mentioned. I haven’t acquired a taste for the newbies.
