In Studio Appearances

Seems like it is time for more on air live guest appearances. Especially those who are on frequently. Why should Isaac, Lori G, and Josie Marin be allowed to do their shows via skype? Is it fear of appearing live in the studio, expense, or a contractual agreement? Why should they be able, among others, to not have to go to QVC and do their shows?

For one, Isaac has been back in the studio. I think for a TSV day.

I don't think it's a case of "allowing" them to do remotes, but more a case of leaving it up to each vendor and their own preferences. Remotes have shown to be a fine alternative to having every vendor in the studios for each and every presentation.

Also, it keeps the behind the scenes traffic down, which is safer.

Along that same line, QVC may not have the same number of employees left to deal with in person vendors as they had previously.

ETA: It's also much easier to schedule a last minute remote vendor appearance for one or two products than it is to have to plan weeks in advance for each in studio vendor, both for QVC and the vendors.

Who cares is right. I just want some like, Josie, to just go away. I'm so sick of seeing her every single day. You'll undoubtedly never see her in the studio again.

@San Antonio Gal I don't know but its a safe bet as hard and as often as they push her and her grease. Makes me wonder if QVC has bought her company. I wonder about Barefoot Dreams too as they're are also on almost daily.

I admit I didn't like the Skype presentations early on, but they've grown on me.

The presentations are somewhat calmer and more orderly. Similar to when there is only one host which eliminates some of the extra chatter.

Perhaps the Op is referring to some skyped vendors where the video feed is choppy and/or you cant hear the sound......or there are so many problems that the vendor just calls in via phone.....why cant the host do their homewrik and give the demonstration and product information like QVC used to do in the past......

JMHO the big advantage of Skyping is we get to see the vendor's pets.....And no traveling for the vendor, there seems to be a lot of delays or canceled flights these days.......

Personally I see no reason now that the hosts handled solo presentations for over 2 years.

I don't think having vendors in studio bring anything to the presentations.

Although, I'll admit my Q watching is minimal. I flick and even David has now become boring all he talks about is his "weight loss", how many sold, colors and buy quickly before sold out.

I prefer to watch most vendor from any location then watch many of the host, many, many of the host.

I think the only advantage for in-studio vendors are the cooking demos, where these are handled by a trained and experienced actual chef.....A REAL Chef has more knowledge and can give tips a regular vendor doesnt

I hear you! Some of the hosts talk more about themselves than the product. And others merely go over and over the colors ad nauseuma and add nothing else about the product......
