Do You Have An Older Purchase From QVC That You Would Not Part With?

Many yeas ago, I bought a gorgeous, full length, Linea boucle black coat from QVC. It is still my favorite coat, and it looks like it is new. I love the loopy fabric, and I get compliments on the coat every single time I wear it. I wish there were more designers like Louis Dell'Olio. Yes, a lot of sherpa and other fabrics are used by the current QVC designers for their coats, but sometimes the fabrics seem somewhat inferior to fabrics used years ago. I am going to hold onto my Linea purchases.

Believe it or not, I have a Denim & Co. velvet big shirt that is stunning and so well made. That was 20 years ago; it still fits and I won't part with it. The fabrics and workmanship was soooooo different back then. You are right about everything being a polyester sherpa now.

@Jeanne from VA Yes, I have a leopard coat that I bought in 93 or 94 from Dennis Basso. I still wear it. I just can't part with it. It is perfect. Excellent quality.

Of course I have bought many coats over the years. LOL. I just love this one so much. I get where you're coming from. When you love something, you love something.

I have two Louis Linea jean style jackets that are beautifully made of top quality fabric that is colorful and not denim. One is yellow with gold signature buttons. The other is turquoise, and I plan to keep them forever.

The funniest item I have from years past is a Dennis Basso faux fur coat. I was looking at it on line while it was being shown. While I was deciding on a size and color, I clicked that choice to see if it was available. I must have done a quick buy or something, and I had bought it on easy pay without intending to make the purchase. I thought it was meant to be. When it arrived I could not have been more pleased. It will always be a valued part of my winter wardrobe.

Too many to name. High quality, timeless, long lasting clothing and beautiful home decor. Lots of specialized products for the home. 18K yellow gold pieces. Original formula of CZ in all types of jewelry that still look like new. Kitchen items. More. Older items were not toss out items.

I would never part with the Tacori Diamonique jewelry I bought for myself and three of my daughters. We all still wear them, they still look like new, are believable, and we all still get compliments on them. Was so sorry to see Tacori leave.

I also have a Tiffany style lamp from QVC; bought it many years ago and I think the style of the shade was water lily..beautiful, heavy base. Socket just stopped working so need to get it fixed asap as I use it every day.

I have many, and most are silver jewelry. I polished many of my older pieces today, and I admired it all as I did so.

I also have some Polish Pottery and Fenton Art Glass pieces.

probably many of my past handbag, shoe, or clothing purchases are long gone. I bought a lot of Bruce M and Kathy (whoever) bags. They didn't stand the test of time.

Many years ago I bought a set of two wall sconces for around $50. They have fat flameless candles. They were so beautiful and gave such a warm glow that I bought another set as soon as I could afford it. Both sets still work, with battery changes of course, and I still enjoy them just as much as when they were new.

Wow. Great question. I have so many things from years ago that I would not give up and still use. Many jewelry items, several Tiffany style lamps (as mentioned by another poster) and several coats. All of these items were purchased at QVC outlet stores. (Frazer, Lancaster, Drexel Hill before it closed and Prices Corner Delaware, before that store closed.)

Funny, I was looking for something on poshmark yesterday and saw 2 of my Basso coats listed for prices that were not only way more than I paid for them at the outlet, but much more than they were offered on air. And I still wear these coats.

I am posting pics, these are NOT my pics. The first is a full lenght faux mink fur that came with a matching scarf, it was a TSV. The second is a car length faux fox fur. Beautifully made and very warm.

@qbetzforreal I have 8 of the Tiffany inspired lamps that I bought years ago....not all at one time...but over the years. I love them and could never part with any of them. Just this year my little granddaughter asked me to save one for her. It is the wisteria one if you are familiar with that style. Glad I purchased them when I did. Prices are much higher today.

@cimeranrose, Fenton is still producing glass. They sold their WV property to developers, but they are outsourcing production to a factory in Ohio and are still producing new designs. Check out the website. They are selling online, although their gift shop is closed. I absolutely love the few pieces I got from QVC l. I would undoubtedly still be buying, although I have no room to collect anything anymore.

Great question ..... I have a couple Judith Ripka watches I really love ... also a Dennis Basso reversable rain coat ..... and a Denim & Co jean jacket in a vibrant turquoise .... wouldn't give any of them up!
