Refund Error

I just received notification over the past few days of refunds on items I never returned. Has this happened to anyone before? This company seems to be falling apart.

I haven't had any issues, I would call customer service just to make sure your account hasn't been hacked.

These are sometimes scare tactics so you long in through the link in the email so that your information can be captured.

Yes, this has happened to me.....I got notified of a credit...but when I checked my account there was no credit ... I was confused that perhaps they didn't give me the correct credit for an item I did return...so I had to research items I had returned ..to be sure my account was in order.....it appeared to be okay.....

PS I also got notified an auto delivery item was going to be shipped...even though I had canceled....the product wasn't shipped...but created more concern and confusion...

@Kachina624 - The email isn't sending a refund. It's a scam trying to make the recipient click on a malware link, as another poster said.

Hackers use every trick in their criminal book to get someone's information.

I've had such a variety of these types of emails: "your package couldn't be delivered because...", "your package is waiting at the post office for payment...", "please verify your information before we deliver your package", and, yes, "we are processing your refund" (for something I never ordered nor returned). They'll even supply "tracking numbers".

If you've never gotten these types of scam emails, consider yourself lucky. Hackers don't need your personal information, just your email address. They know they'll get "lucky" at least occasionally. It's a multi-billion dollar industry.

@Venezia No, I never got any such email. In fact, I never get any of the stuff other people claim to get all the time. I use an Android tablet, not a computer. I wonder if that has anything to do with it?

I don't ever get those types of emails either.

But I do get texts that are spam and attempts at hacking.

@Kachina624 - A lot of it can depend on sites that someone may visit.

Unbelievably, I never got more than a very occasional spam email on one of my accounts until I signed up with NBC Online to watch a show I had missed on TV.

Since then? That email address is littered with spam emails! From a "secure" NBC website? Really? Thankfully, I used an email that I never use for any regular business and the stuff gets dumped into my spam folder, but it's annoying just the same.

I get the "Your account has been compromised" type texts from Amazon and various places I don't even use.

They started when I canceled my landline and began using my cell number as my primary phone number.

@geezerette I've been a Prime member for years but never get those scam Amazon messages. I have a cell but give the number to nobody. I rarely use it.

I never had that problem when I didn't give my cell number out either.

I would call CS and see what's going on....maybe the refunds were sent to you by mistake and someone else is waiting for them!

Flip side are items returned and received at the warehouses and noted as such, for weeks and then you have to prod someone to process your returns and turn them into credits due back to your card. This is what happens to me.
