HSN Free Shipping through Oct.!

I just received an email as well as a notice in the mail that if you use the HSN card, EVERYTHING ships for free through Oct. 15th. I think the Q could learn a lot from them as to how to treat their customers. They usually have so much free shipping so I only order my Beekman through them. But this new notice is for everything.

While that may sound great, don't forget their high interest rate. You may be paying more in interest than in S&H if you don't use their card.

Did anyone catch HSN's Christmas in July weekend programming a few days ago? I was so embarrassed for them. It was awful.

I could not be worse than what they showed here. A constant stream of cheap junk that you could find in a dollar store.

I do not need or have any credit cards from stores. I use one card and that is it. However, since I buy a lot from HSN I obtained a card years ago. There is no interest charged and when I return an item they receive it very quickly so that if I have any EZ pays, it gets credited immediately. Here at the Q it takes a month or more for a return to reach them. Don't get me wrong, I have been a Q shopper since day one, but I feel they have to improve on their shpping and returns.

Interesting! I didn't get that email, or letter, and I just ordered something using my HSN card and was charged shipping. Needless to say, just cancelled the order. Will wait and see if I get the offer.

I never run a balance on my credit cards....so the rate of interest has no effect on me.

I would be watching to see if they raised prices to cover the 'free shipping'

No need for QVC to learn anything.

Qurate owns both companies....they are choosing to do this at HSN for some reason.

Maybe to boost sales.

HSN does NOT do FREE even exchanges for color or size like QVC does. You have to pay the return shipping which is even higher than QVC.

Maybe HSN should learn from them! LOL

QVC has the EZ return system also so credits ARE applied in a couple days. NO need to wait.

If you are waiting months still for a credit, you are NOT using the EZ return system they set in motion a while back.

Every once in awhile I give HSN a shot. Not impressed with either their programming or their hosts. I much prefer QVC.

Having said that, I do price shop and often go elsewhere but I still prefer to watch QVC and sometimes I buy. on the whole I buy maybe 6-7 items per year from QVC and it's been probably 10-15 years since I bought anything from HSN. Just not a fan.

I don't know about free Shipping?? I received a post card mailer yesterday which said 5% back in Spendable cash KA$H for using tbe HSN card through Oct. 15th.

This is so interesting. I have had an HSN card since they first offered them, maybe 30 years ago. If I don't receive either the free shipping or spendable Kash offer, guess which card I WON'T be using at all?!

@RespectLife HSN does do Free Exchanges -- they just started this month. It's not just a birthday month gimmick, they claim it's permanent like QVC (well, as permanent until either decide it's not working for them).

What I've always heard though (I cannot attest to it personally) was that exchanges for both companies was always free. If you called them and explained you wanted a change, their customer service detailed the swap directions, and didn't charge a s/h fee.

Seems to me it's more of a marketing ploy to merely announce it for all, and not a Call Me kind of transaction.

@RespectLife I have heard the Hosts on HSN mention Free Exchanges recently. It is on their main Web Page as well. I have never tried it. I used Qs a few times and it took a month for a size exchange.

Free shipping on HSN until October is hard to believe that one unless for certain customers?
