Check with your shipper directly! as QVC lies!

I ordered a couple of items for "guaranteed" delivery by 12/24/2014 and when I checked the UPS site it said delivery will be 12/29/2014 - not so with Target/Walmart/HSN so it is npt UPS's fault !!!!

And we're off to the races... The "I ordered too late and now QVC has ruined my Christmas" posts will soon be in full swing...

I don't know if they lie or not, but they really ought to rethink their Christmas delivery "guarantee" because this surfaces every year. Back in the day, I did once wait until very late to order an item and they still got it to me late on Christmas Eve... Since then, if I plan to order for Christmas gifting, I, myself, set a deadline of no fewer than ten business days out... I'll be ordering a scarf today, but it's for me and so there's no rush on its arrival...

Be curious to see if all the various EDD's pan out...

I think they just say what they're told to say, so it might not be outright lying. Meanwhile, their order processing takes eons longer than any other retailer I know of so that's where the problem lies.

Once you get the 'your order shipped' email from QVC, it's usually still 3-5 days (except for perishable food items) before it ACTUALLY ships. I'd like to think that people know that by now but maybe not.

As for their 'guarantee' - it's NOT a guarantee, because a guarantee is two-sided. Their 'guarantee' is that either you get it by 'x' date - or you don't. period.

The funny thing is there are posters at HSN making the same complaint -- while praising QVC.

To the OP, my thought is lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on QVC's paer -- or sympathy on mine.

I would never rely on the Q or any one to guarantee delivery a week before xmas.

, just do your shopping 14 days before xmas and you won't have a problem.

Oh, for Pete's sake. If you order Christmas gifts too late in the season, it's a krap-shoot whether they'll be delivered on time or not, regardless of who you order from! I ordered a lot of stuff from Amazon with "two day delivery" and have received estimated delivery dates after Christmas on some of it. However, some of the items are coming in ahead of the estimated date, so it's hard to tell. All of us need to know: During the holidays, sellers (not just QVC), the post office, and delivery services are all SLAMMED. They do the best they can, I believe, but if you order late you're taking a chance.

Hope you get your stuff on time.

Zita, I think you should mind your own. The last time I checked I was on the QVC board in in the "Q" talk section.

I am not in church. Perhaps you should turn the finger around and look at yourself from some of the comments that I have read that you have made, about other people.

I ordered a sweater on the 19th and it's scheduled to be delivered tomorrow. Great service. It wasn't something I needed for Christmas but it's nice to get it so fast anyway.

Qvc has not ruined my Christmas, but several items seem to be delayed and CS and email responses seem either not to know what is going on or are perpetuating the fantasy that all is well. The problem is related (thankfully) only to gifts I purchased for myself. I am having a worse problem with Barnes and Noble, which has the worst online CS. The good news is that I had delivery today (a Sunday) from Amazon on an order I placed Friday evening. I do not need the items until mid-January, and no, I do not have Amazon Prime.

UPDATE: 12/23/14 My black purse shipped yesterday (the 22nd) rather than on the 17th as indicated in the advanced order, on the video, and even in the description of the item. It arrived today. Thank you, QVC.

Why do people wait until the last minute and then whine when something does not arrive when you want it? Rarely does something ship and arrive as quickly as stated anywhere during the last half of December. I don't care what any retailer says, UPS, FedEx, and USPS are buried to their eyeballs and everything slows down. It happens every year. Plan ahead or shop local.

All QVC can do is get the package out the door and on to the truck. The rest is up to UPS. QVC can NOT control what UPS does or does not do.

If you waited too long, than that is YOUR fault, not QVC.

Not a whole lot of sympathy here for procrastinators. I haven't heard much ""guaranteed delivery"" talk from QVC this year except for about a week or 10 days ago. I wonder what she bought that was ""guaranteed for 12/24 delivery?

Some people tend to poke fun at those of us who start our shopping with CIJ. I can sit here very calmly and not worry about weather or not a gift is going to arrive on time. I'll never understand those who wait until the last minute to shop on line. Not for me, thank you.

Why does anyone wait till the last minute to ""order"" a gift when you know it most likely will not be delivered in time for Christmas.

I know the shopping channels are saying order now and you will get it by Christmas but they also say that they can sell you a product that takes away all of your wrinkles and sagging turkey neck. Neither of which is true.

On Saturday I ordered the LAY/N/GO Cosmetic Storage bag with guaranteed Holiday Delivery.

I only ordered it because they finally had it in the Gold Color and the Q is actually the cheapest place to buy that color. I don't need it as Christmas Gift but if I did there is no possible way (I might of course be wrong) it will be here on the 24th -per their Holiday Guarantee. It is still in process and I live on the West Coast.

Newsflash! Christmas is the same day every year. Order early and be prepared for disappointment if you don't.

Why oh why do shoppers order at the last minute only to complain when QVC, UPS, or USPS lets them down.

I am certain everyone in the chain of delivery is trying.

I placed an order with Q on Thursday and chose holiday shipping...it just arrived. I must be the lucky one today. I didn't expect it until late this week or early next week.

I ordered some things from JC Penney on Saturday with free shipping and received it this morning. I was shocked! Actually, I didn't expect to get it until after Christmas even though they guaranteed it. Great service!!!
