Red Banner Shipping

If you've gotten the dreaded red banner that cleverly says, "Hmm, something is wrong....." don't despair and don't bother calling CS. There's no tracking but I had 3 such orders arrive right when they should today. CS doesn't know anymore about them than we do.

Speaking of weird shipling, UPS delivered a drug item I ordered from Amazon but it was shipped by Walmart in their box. I thought they were fierce competitors.

@Kachina624, I've ordered items at Amazon, that were not sold by or shipped by Amazon that were actually shipped from Home Depot, Walmart, Costco and Sams.

I suspect there are quite a few third party vendors that list items from big box stores, do a bill to ship to order for your item(s) then the store does the shipping directly to you.

@Marp I average at least 4 Amazon orders a week and often receive things from third party vendors, but never got an order from another big box store.

During the height of the pandemic I took a chance and ordered Charmin in a unique configuration from Amazon. I did get a delayed notice but a few days later it arrived in a big Walmart box. It was sent from ALASKA.

@Kachina624, well now that you've gotten your first one more may follow.

In my case it doesn't happen often but it has happened and from various big box stores as I indicated.

I have found, at least on QVC, when I get the dreaded red banner, it means the item I'm trying to order is sold out. I wish it would just say it's sold out. I have gotten the sold out message, but if you get to the order page, you get the red banner.

I just wrote and deleted a long rant about my still undelivered Just Bagels. Suffice it to say, no red banner for me, but also no bagels that have already been delayed by more than a week and should've been delivered today. (They were on the van, but no bagels.)

If they make it here tomorrow (from the depot 15 miles away), I will likely request a refund because they'll have been sitting in the local depot for two days (and four days in total "somewhere").

That along with three orders gone to backorder has just finally gotten on my last nerve.

No, @Kachina624 is referring to the Red Banner when you are trying to track an order already placed.

I know what you mean though....at times I have tried to order on my phone, and get that banner...and I agree...it is sold out.

But in this case, there is NO tracking of the shipment and an order that says 'Shipped' and the banner pops up when the tracking button is clicked.

I had this 3x last week....received all orders. And have 2 more orders with it. I like to track to know when it will be delivered...so I hope they get it corrected.
