David’s Voice

I noticed he sounds hoarse lately ... like he's losing his voice. Is it me or has anyone noticed???

Not assuming or suggesting a thing, just noticed it lately.

@rms1954 I might have the wrong host but I think David has allergy/sinus issues.

There's only one host named David (Venable). Maybe it's allergies. Never heard him sound like he has recently though and I've been watching him for years. Maybe it's just me.

I join coffee talk with David weekly and I know he has had allergy/sinus things. Voice could be talking long periods with out drink or simply just needs a rest.

Talking for long periods of time like he does must take its toll after a while. Be well David!

All the talking the hosts do can't be good for their throat . I know a female host years ago named Molly quit because her voice was being affected very badly and she wanted to become a singer and didn't need the extra fatige put on her voice. So that maybe why he does take alot of time off.

Molly Daly has been employed as an announcer, radio news anchor, and reporter since she left QVC.

When you have allergies, talking is brutal and just emphasises the allergies more. I had a job position for years and it envolved a treamendous amount of talking, I feel for him. What gave me little relief besides my allergy meds was sipping water and the moist mouth sprays.

He works in a super cold AC environment too....(think how ofter the female hosts say they're freezing!!!...That air can be very drying to sinuses and throats....although I DO notice him sweating occasionally!!!

The AC is for the equipment...lights, cameras, food prep, etc....

I'm surprised they don't have 20 or 30 of those "wonderful" puffing, steaming air steamer things going in the studio!!!! ( "Buy one for every room!").

I hope he is considering his overall health. He's almost retirement age, and if he wants to live a long retirement, he should think about working towards better health NOW.....

I like watching him on Sundays....HEALTH David is more important that ANY yummie high fat, high sugar, "tan" food glop that he seems to have to sample incessantly....
