Holiday Tunes?

Is there a favorite song you love to hear at this time of year because it "touches your heart" and gives you some holiday spirit? For me it's: Little Drummer Boy ~ Bob Seger and O Holy Night ~ sung by anyone with the pipes to do it justice!

I love Vince Guaraldi Trio's "A Charlie Brown Christmas" and adore the Mel Torme and the Cincinnati Sinfonietta Christmas album. This is more than one song but these are my go-to collections, and never fail to get me in the "spirit". Great musicians, great music, and the holiday vibe.

I love Chiristmas music. The Hanson Christmas cd is my favorite. It is just fun. I also love the songs Baby It's Cold Outside & Santa Baby.

My favorites are "My Grown Up Christmas Wish" by Barbra Streisand, "Do They Know It's Christmas" by Band-Aid, and "Joy to the World". For the fun songs, I love "I want a Hippopotamus for Christmas" and "Jingle Bell Rock". Sorry, too many good songs to narrow down to just one.

My all-time favorite Christmas song is ""Silent Night"". That song can bring me to tears. It just brings back the memories of attending Midnight Mass with my parents when I was a child.

During the holiday season I listen to Jim Brickman's ""The Gift"" and Kenny G's version of ""Silver Bells"" over and over again. Another favorite of mine is Trans-Siberian Orchestra's ""Christmas Eve and Other Stories"" album.

This time of year is all about Thanksgiving, we don't sing Christmas carols while we eat Thanksgiving dinner.

I just got Idina Menzel's new Christmas CD as a gift, and her version of "Do You Hear What I Hear" gives me goosebumps. And yes, that's my very favorite holiday song.

Really? And this means others can't discuss Christmas music...?

I tend to like most Christmas music and could never pick a favorite, though there are a few I won't mention that I can't abide... Oh Holy Night is one of my favorite traditional songs. I also love Silver Bells, Marshmallow World, and seasonal songs of that ilk... One of my favorite more contemporary tunes is Mariah's version of Baby Please Come Home.

The Four Seasons Christmas album. Jungle Bells being my favorite song on it. My parents used to play it when I was little and I was thrilled to find it on CD at Amazon! Brings back memories

I love Christmas music! I would sing it all year, but I would be committed!

I have been playing the Christmas station on my car's SAT.

I pretty much like most Christmas songs.

The Most Wonderful Time of the Year (Andy Williams' version). Always brings back memories, since my parents used to play his Christmas album.

I love Enya's album ""And winter came"". But am especially fond of the song about the toy soldier. It's a beautiful album. Too bad it doesn't get more attention.

I ALWAYS love Louis Armstrong 'what a wonderful world'

I start listening to my tunes November 1st. I Don't think of it as Christmas music. I think of it as seasonal music. Because for me, it starts a 2 month season of just being a little giddy, festive and more thankful than ever to have my family and friends. And enjoying the hustle and bustle. It's really hard for me to be crabby when I am sitting in traffic and singing a duet with Springsteen on Santa Claus is coming to town or with Brenda Lee on Jingle Bell Rock.

Always on Thanksgiving, we have Christmas with the rat pack playing for dinner. A little nastalgia!!

I was a Christmas baby, and I think that made the season even more magical and joyful in my eyes.

My favorites are Silent Night, O Holy Night, part one of The Messiah (I can sing along with all of it!), and I've loved the Mannheim Steamroller Christmas album since its first release.
