That darn Mary Beth !!!

She makes me want to buy things , i normally wouldn't be tempted by. She was selling the Fit Nation Rock n fit vibration machine , she stayed on it the whole presentation , she owns and uses hers daily. Her voice is so sincere , i think that makes her such a good host.

I like Mary Beth,but nothing she says or does makes me want to buy something I don't need or want.

I stopped making spur of the moment buying a part of my life. Most of what QVC and other retailers sell is just stuff that will be clutter in a few months.

I often turn off the TV or get off the Internet or walk out of a store to curb my buying. The next day, I am happy I resisted.

Of course, not everyone is like me. Enjoy shopping if that is your thing.

In honesty i don't buy things on the spur of the moment , in fact i will watch TSV 's for 24 hours and still resist. i am having some health challenges and can't do what i normally do , and this looked like an option , i haven't bought it yet, i think it is a little over priced. andI didn't buy any Laura Geller . i think my point was Mary Beth is not a hard seller host , and i think is kind of refreshing.

She is as hard sell as anyone, but uses different sales tactics. Is it safe to be on that shaking thing for an hour?

The first time I saw it, I wanted it but didn´t like the reviews. After reading @MW in Iowa post, I checked it again and it hasn´t changed.

Also it says after your 30 day trial, you will be billed 19.99 a month. for advice? don´t know and you can cancel at anytime, if you remember. Are they kidding? The hardest thing to do is TRY to cancel a membership anywhere.

I shouldn't have said the whole hour , i didn't watch the whole presentation , so hopefully she was off and on , i think 10 minutes is the advised amount of time , at least starting out. But good point.

It reminded me in the worst way of that terrible machine from yesteryear that was at every gym, the one with the big white strap that went around your behind.... you turn it on and it shook you all over. Turns out it didn't do a thing, but made you think that it did.....

I never buy anything without reading reviews , and you are right , they aren't that great. Like i said i rarely buy on impulse and this is no exception. Mary Beth has one of those voices , that you don't mind leaving the TV on for back ground as opposed to some that are like fingernails on a black board , and i have to turn the tv off.

All it's doing is jiggling your fat. How is this helping? I can't believe that QVC is selling this machine. Hate to say this but it reminds me of the "relaxalator" featured on Mad Men. If I were Mary Beth I would have said NO to demonstrating this thing.

There are many other issues where the machine should not be used. I don't see any warnings listed on the product description page.

Back in the 50s and 60s., similar jiggling machines were the butt of jokes and were frequently featured in cartoons. They were deemed worthless. Has anything changed?

There are certain hosts whose words I would never trust. Sweet Mary Beth is one of them. I find her to be very insincere. She's parroting the script she was given.

Sure she does. And she looks so fit and toned, can I just say. She's no more sincere than any of the other hosts trying to sell you a product.

My Aunt adored her and bought all her family cookbooks. " The Girl Next Door" you want to like. She is a seasoned host and does training. Alot of hosts say they own and use items. Companies give them products free so they can say they use them, but use once or daily who knows? It is all part of the selling technique. I take it with a grain of salt so to speak.

Cosmetics is an item especially that is often touted as used or in their bathrooms etc. Their bathrooms, closets, basements, garages must be jammed full.

Every presenter here at the Q is a professional sales person. None of them are any more sincere than the others. They all have their own style to appeal to as many of the public as possible. What works for me, may not work for others, so they have many styles to sell as much as possible. That is the whole purpose of their company. These hosts are not our friends, they are salespeople.

I no longer buy spur of the moment without thinking it through. I used to be like that and purchased way too many things I didn't need or even like after a while......

I now think of my purchases for quite a while if they are of substantial money before buying. I am much happier that way...Now simple things-no, but big purchases, I do!
