Q postcard

I just received a post card from QVC. I thought maybe they were offering a percentage off a purchase or maybe a free shipping on an item but no, just a post card letting me know it's their birthday month. I already knew that from the many announcements made. Just a waste of $$$.

Instead of sending out postcards telling us something we already know, why don't they reward their customers with free shipping? Use the money they spent on sending out the cards for something that would benefit customers.

For what they spent to print and mail those postcards, they could've given free shipping, to show some appreciation for their customers.

Without the buyers, they wouldn't be in business.

The other day, I received a postcard from HSN offering me $5 off a purchase of $20 or more. At least that's something I can use.

What a huge waste of money, although the post office needs all the business it can get. Are we all supposed to jump for joy because QVC is celebrating something that everyone has?

It does seem silly and totally unnecessary. It must cost a fortune to send those cards and yes, how about a coupon or free shipping???? It's like the ridiculously expensive medical insurance that feel they need to send new cards every 6 months, stop the mailing and lower the fees!!

Wish they would learn from their sister channel HSN. Received email today 20% off coupon code for one day.Rather get mail offering the 20%off then seeing a postcard telling me it's "BIRTHDAY MONTH" we can see by watching the Q .

Why can't the Q offer a deal like that even if just for their BIRTHDAY .

I also received the mailing. Was disappointed there was no coupon. I get frequent mailings from Kohls that always include a discount. Was anyone else also taken aback that Alberti was on the card ? I found it odd that he identifies hi self as an "entertaining enthusiast" I've seen no evidence he knows anything about cooking.

@Reever I've seen videos of him getting ready to entertain in his home. Cooking, setting a lovely table, etc. he seemed quite knowledgeable to me. This was a few years ago.

Or at least offer a 10% discount on a purchase of our choice. Long ago, I remember getting a Thanksgiving card with that type of offer....at least do something to actually reward long time customers...

He did some great videos on his Facebook Page regarding decorating and entertaining for the Holidays---Christmas and even an Easter brunch.....

@Spurt I agree, Alberti has done some fabulous videos featuring different decorating/entertaining for holidays and other special events. His different tablescape themes have given me ideas on incorporating some of them into my own uses as sometimes I get an item home and am at a loss what to do w/it.

They give new customers $ off or new Q card member 50-60, they will be sad when all us old timers cut back drastically or STOP buying. These young folks are not going to wait 14 days for something to ship or pay shipping. They are used to their A prime two day arrivals. The Q is not going to last if it remains the way it is now. Near $70 for a polyester top? And then wait 10-14 days to process? It’s not going to happen. Just my two cents.

I used to receive a holiday card "signed" by the hosts. What a waste of time and money to send those out.

But at least it came with a coupon for a QVC purchase..it seems these days as others have said they only want to reward new customers or those that sign up for the Q Card...tenured customers dont seem to be appreciated...I think we helped to keep them in business for 35 yrs....

@Spurt ITA, but they're still in business w/o the frequent free shipping, no sales (% off), just clearance on older merchandise, few sizes or colors left, etc. Some will continue to order from Q without these perks. They have no reason to change their policies.

Your right, it doesnt seem like they will wake up and make some MUCH NEEDED CHANGES, their financial reports haven't been too rosey in the last several years pre-pandemic ..It will be interesting to see how they do in the future....Categories that had been their profit makers had started declining in sales....(apparel and beauty).....And your right, QVC has their "fan club" but will they be enough to continue to keep them viable and rev up those sales post pandemic
