Every year there's a discussion about this, but I swear, if you played the drinking game to "Bow and Go" you would have been drunk since late August.

""bow and go""......a boxed gift item that you can just stick a bow on and then give it as a gift.

I heard the phrase used on HSN today; it was a jewelry show and they commented on the nice box - so nice it was a bow-and-go. Ugh...

On Sunday they were selling manual CAN OPENERS, and they were selling them in a set of several in a box so you can just 'bow and go'.

Now, I am a fan of practical presents, and I have given them but always at a specific request. (e.g. I need a new toaster, four slice, wide enough for bagels)

but who on earth would just give their 'UPS man' or 'Bus driver' a $6 polka dot can opener??
