Does anyone get a instant headache when lighting a Harry Slatkin Candle?

I love some of the scents of his candles. I have bought many but once I light them, my head hurts immediately. Wonder what is in them that makes that happen. I've even tried just lighting one wick, but it does the same thing. Maybe because it's so heavily perfumed?

I do. I can't use scented candles, even walking by Yankee candle at the mall gives me a migraine

Not his specifically but I’m scent sensitive and many candles, air fresheners and perfumes do.

Unfortunately, I can no longer use any scented candles these days! I feel sick to my stomach, get a bad headache and it messes with my breathing. I used to adore burning them. Doesn't matter how expensive the candle, I just can't handle any of them.

Many scented items can set off physical reactions including all types of products. There are many theories concerning breathing in chemical and some natural products. That is why so many have adverse reactions as the body tries to protect itself.

I use wax melts but only certain scents - lavendar and frankincense/myrrh. Vanilla doesn't bother me and I sometimes mix the others with it. The sugary sweet scents give me a headache so I avoid those.

No - doesn't bother me at all. Love Slatkin candles. My favorite Fall scent is the Spiced White Pumpkin. Wish it was available again.

No scented anything in our house. My husband has chemical sensitivities and get physically ill from scented products and perfumes. Something for all to think about when you douse on perfumes.

No problems with Harry's Homeworx candles ---- I have friend that does have issues but it's with Bath & Body Works candles...

Five years ago is when i received my first (of countless more) harry slatkin candles. Never! Not once have I received anything less than a "standing O" for how the aroma his candles bring to my home! I don't think QVC would ever sell a product that didn't meet a high standard, let alone one that is harmful to your health! QVC has integrity and a reputation second to none. I have shopped with them for over 20 years, because I only buy what i can trust.

I can't use any scented candles either. Although I love them, they are just so strong and I can't handle it. Even the lotions at BBW are bothering me now, too.
