nutsy makes me nuts

Let me say first, I love Carolyn Gracie. She does an outstanding job as a host of whatever product she is presenting. BUT, I hate that stupid squirrel nutsy and that stupid voice she uses making him talk! Why does she do that? It's not funny, it's not cute, and it's not entertaining. No one presents Denim and Co. better than Carolyn, but please drop the childish squirrel routine.

I was thinking about that the other day! You are right, it's really not funny and pretty silly, but then I decided it was nice to see someone enjoying pretending with their stuffed animals like most of us did when we were a child. Kind of nice to see someone allowing themselves to be childlike in this too serious world.

So....I decided to let this just be a refreshing breath of fresh air and try to enjoy it. Maybe I can re-ignite a little childlike playfulness in me. Too little laughter as we grow older. I appreciate the attempt to make us laugh....and the nudge from them to be silly once in a while!

Well, to each his own. If I want to watch something childish with puppets, I’ll tune in to Sesame Street. But that’s just my opinion.

It's both childish and tiresome and whenever she or Gary start it, I hit the mute button. That gimmick has run it's course. I got bored with it on Day 1.

I've asked on FB and requested in the Forum Suggestion Box to get rid of the squirrel. Please, if any staff notice this thread, get rid of the squirrel.

It was funny and kind of cute for the first couple of months...mainly because it was different, But the gimmick has worn down its welcome!! Time to put the squirrels away for a very long nap!!!

The squirrel thing was cute for about a week, maybe two. It has long outlived its usefulness. Please drop it and put the squirrels on a shelf somewhere. Move on.

While this is not my favorite thing. It certainly doesn't bother me. I love Carolyn and all her presentations. I think she always does a good job so if this is part of what she does, I am ok with it. Just not on my radar of things to be upset or irritated about right now.

Generally when I am watching the Q I am doing other things like reading, doing a puzzle, crafting or cleaning so the TV seldom has my undivided attention.

I'm tired of it as well, but not to the point of it really bothering me or making me turn the channel. At least the squirrels usually only make an appearance at the start of the show, and sometimes at the end.

Carolyn said, "if some of you don't know why we have these squirrels, just play along." That should tell her that if explaining the whole squirrel background story takes too much effort, it's probably time to let it go.

Oh give me a break!

It's a harmless, lighthearted gimmick!

It's not like Carolyn comes out, dressed as a squirrel 🐿 and runs around the set chirping, while hunting for nuts!

Sometimes, grown women, can actually lighten up and access the silly side of themselves, and have fun.

It can be healthy, especially, when we have so much doom and gloom!

It's not as if the squirrel dominates the presentations. Every time I've seen him, it's been very briefly.
