Honestly does QVC think customers are "foolish", ie, prices

I say "foolish" instead of "dumb" for better word.

I watched some presentations while I was taking down holiday decor...I did a double take!

On a particular item:

QVC retail price $21.00

"sale price" $19.12

A big $1.88 savings😳! Yet, they don't show "retail" prices anymore to "compare".

Another item was a $1.73 savings off regular QVC price.

And I noticed on clearance items -- the retail price is shown but not the original QVC price prior to the QVC clearance price.

I can't imagine why they even bother that's certainly no sale price and when shipping is $5.50! What happened to the $3.50 shipping fees.

Its really ridiculous to even put the word "sale" a real sale is substantial savings like I saved today at Kohl's -- $74.00 jacket for $19!!!🙂

This is one of the reasons sales are down. QVC is an outdated model. They better reinvent if they want to say in the game.

I never believed the Manufacturer's Retail Price - or the QVC price. I only paid attention to the price they're selling it at.

A long time ago, they did have real savings for even on some new items. You could get something new and innovative and the price was a Value. Therefore the name. They sold quality items at a decent peice and it was delivered to your door.

Now, it's the highest priced items, not good, better, best, and there's no break in the cost even if it's on clearence.

I see they have a mattress for nearly 2 grand, but there's a mattress store every couple of miles in many towns. Either way I don't have to tie it down to the roof of my car, but the local one is a lot cheaper. Yes, I know, it possibly won't feel as comfy, but I will have money left over for other things like new sheets, or a comforter.

Saving a buck here or there is nothing. I want savings when I see the word sale. Make it worth not going out and getting into the car and driving a few miles. And the claim "It's under $50.00 when it's $49.95 also means nothing to me. Under $50.00, how about $45.00? Then it really is unless there's that $6.50 in shipping.

I have about even given up on the specials at lunchtime and primetime. They just aren't special. Most of it is clothing cut down in price a little, but since I don't know how the item is cut (a bit large or small) the shipping both ways keeps me from picking it up. Forget watching anymore, it's the same stuff over and over. 5 hours of shoes. 3 hours of clothing. 4 hours of kitchen stuff. My attention span isn't that long for me to watch for that 1 item I need and then hope the price is worth picking up the phone.

I don't miss the same old merchandise they had years ago, new stuff is always a good thing. But, I do miss the way they described a product, and then went on to something else and described it. But, for pennies off, I'll run out to the store and see what they have.

In my opinion, in terms of 'THOUGHTS' about their customers -

I don't believe they T H I N K about us much at all.

Too many factors have pointed me in the direction which support that opinion.

Rather than list anything relating to my opinion, I will leave it at that.

I think people are very willing to buy at a higher price if there is easy pay because it seems attainable though they can't really afford it and get in over their heads. This is completely by design and QVC is not your friend. They are enablers.

...Oh they think about their customers alright- how best to talk you into hitting that 'submit' button! You're always always better off saving your money by buying local.

Same here -- mattress store on every corner. Personally, I could never buy a bed without trying it first. Although, that doesn't always work out but at least I am within driving distance of the store & then deal with it (I've never had too) then have to deal with QVC CS or have to wait weeks for credit/refund.

I know the stores have the same thing almost every time I go but they send me incentives such as coupons, sales, cash back, etc. to "browse" and maybe use coupons! EZ pay seems to be the newest "push"🤔

Its sad QVC seems to be "sinking" themselves slowly. Long time customers know what Quality Value Convenience really was -- retaining customers is certainly not Q's goals any longer☹️

I have no desire to see a infomercial for hours on the TSV or listening to hosts ridiculous "sales" tactics!

No. My comment is that not everyone is always looking for a sale or to pay much attention to "how much off" something is. It is what it is. If you want it at that price buy it.

Have to agree with @Sooner . If I see something I want I usually buy it at that time. A sale price isn't going to make me want an item. The presentation or the description of the item is what I am interested in seeing. If I can get the same item locally I will buy local. If not, then I order from QVC.
