(1) He's selling seasonal products for cold weather and it looks seasonal.

(2) He is from Europe where men wear scarves as much or more than women.

(3)It may be hot under the lights but he is going for a cold weather look.

Additionally, Alberti grew up in Manhattan coming to the United States as an infant.

But the scarf is nice.

As part of my intention to stop being a snowbird and just live in the warm, this fall I gave away most of my more wintry scarves - by fabric and color both. Several of those scarves went to men. At least in the area where I live, scarf-wearing men are not in the least unusual.

@Johnnyeager He was selling pretzels normally sold at Christmastime when I saw him. Maybe my eyes saw something different.

What do scarves have to do with food? I thought it looked really dumb. I also wish Stacey would quit saying "this is my jam". Jam? Jam on bread? Jam it up your nose? Jammed my finger? Why don't people just talk without having to use all these ridiculous phrases?

When I worked in Manhattan, scarves on men were commonplace. Nothing unusual about a man wearing a scarf, his prerogative. I think it looks great.

Alberti always dresses nice!! I'm sure the scarf looked really nice on him! I've seen a lot of men wearing scarves and l love the look!! I don't care if he was selling food or not!! I really like Alberti as a host!!

I'm not a fan of the look either - unless, of course, the man with a scarf is outside on a cold day.

Does Alberti always wear a scarf? I saw him with one a few weeks ago and thought it an odd choice. But, I suppose odder is better in some circles.

When I first saw him I did a double-take. Then, taking it all in, I thought he looked very nice. It's just not the norm for what the male hosts wear, but there's absolutely nothing wrong with that!

The irony here is at the OP calls herself "patriot" yet she mocks Alberti's freedom to dress how he sees fit. Like most people who hide behind the flag, she knows nothing about for what it stands.

Tuned to a pre-recorded food show and he was eating fudge with a scarf on. I really didn't get it either because the vendor was dressed as if they were in a warm studio. Could be he's giving meaning to the words eat and run.
