Letter From the Q Re Josie Maran claims

I received a letter from the Q today saying that the claims made by Josie about the claims that Argan milk broken down into tiny molecules to be absorbed into the skin easier cannot be substantiated by the Q and offering to take back any product ordered free of charge. Wow. I wonder what prompted this

I never watch her. but, from what I've read here, she makes a lot of ridiculous claims. What about them? Somebody must have filed or threatened to file a lawsuit. They need to sit her down and tell her to cut out the imaginative salesmanship.

Many years ago, a charlatan made a claim that the junk she was selling would allow asthmatics to stop taking their medicine. I contacted QVC immediately to explain the danger this statement could create. It was the first and last appearance of the hawker. QVC does not want to be responsible for promoting false claims.

I recieved one of those letters a couple of years ago. I guess nothing changed, since they still allowed her to make those claims. Time will tell if she continues to say those things, then the letter doesn't mean much.

I use the milk and didn't get the letter. I don't believe the claims, I use it for hydration

These claims to sell products are getting ridiculous. She's a babbler. Guess that snake oil helped pay for that spread in Hawaii.

@Shopaholic. I love her Argan Milk products. They are wonderful moisturizing propertied. I like her divine drip and her face balm and moon drops but I don’t use all of her products.

The whole discovering a woman with the argan spiel - she needs to drop that. She wasn't the first person to sell argan.

That sort of claim could've gotten the attention of the FDA. Cosmetics that claim to actually penetrate and change the structure of the skin are no longer considered cosmetic. They then become drugs and under the control of the FDA. Many of the bigger companies have gotten warning letters from the FDA due to such claims in the past.

That's why most of the skincare companies will say that it reduces the APPEARANCE of fine lines and wrinkles rather than it ELIMINATES wrinkles.

Yeah, and her whipped Argan Oil claims are misleading too. It comes across like they somehow just whipped up pure Argan Oil and it makes a butter. There's a bunch of chemicals added to turn it into butter.

I have the same issue with Denis and his Tweak'd line. Don't get me wrong, I use some of his products, but I read the ingredient lists before I buy. I just bought his HSN TSV. I'm kinda tired of this sick mother story, and now I'm kinda confused about his story. Did he come out of retirement to create Tweak'd for his mother or did he create Ojon for his mother? I don't know, and I really don't care. It wasn't one of those products that actually cured her.

@Teddixat Was this a email? I have bought a lot of her milk and I didn't get anything online but haven't been to my mailbox today?? That is going to hurt their sales. NOT GOOD

I just use the argan milk, hand cream and the divine drip, the divine drip is perfect for my winter dry skin. I also love the chubby stick concealers

I remember Adrienne with the Signature Club A line on HSN, selling Argan oil products long before Josie did here. That is not to say Josie did not sell Argan oil elsewhere before launching her line here, and could very well have been the originator.

I'm curious because a lady called into the Q during Josie's show and praised Josie's products for helping her skin dramatically after I believe she said chemo and/or radiation. She went on in length about the products helping her. I wondered if anything she said prompted the letter/email.
