Cant watch her with those glasses ! Too distracting. It does not matter what she is selling. The frames and style are not becoming on her.

I have never cared for round glasses - much prefer oval with wire frames. Her frames are thick and chunky.

Im convinced QVC is pushing these glasses on hosts.

Well it is her own show, "No Problem" With Shawn. I wouldn't call it too shabby.

A good salesperson should be able to sell anything. Regardless of the fact that she is not one of my favorites, I recognize that, given her prime slots, she must be one of the most popular hosts with a lot of fans. QVC would be stupid to not have one of their most popular hosts on a variety of shows.

Do I necessarily believe her when she’s selling vacuums or computers? Not really. But, then again, there are very few hosts who can believably sell every product category The Q has.

All the show hosts sell whatever QVC tells them to sell. Shawn's no different than any of the others. I doubt that she would want to get stuck in a beauty/fashion rut anyway. The most valued employees can do a variety of things.

So funny when that happens. Not too long ago, Amy was on all three Q stations. I imagine that someone who doesn't know QVC and was just channel surfing would have been very confused.

She is a hardcore sales person; she is just pitching products. No matter how it is marketed, it doesn’t really have much to do with her. It is her job.

I think QVC is leveling the playing field with all of the hosts.

I am watching Rick hosting with Dennis Basso. It is hysterical. Poor Rick is taking one for the team. He looks very uncomfortable.

I agree with the other poster, cannot watch Shawn flip her over the counter glasses (used as a fashion statement) it is so distracting, and I agree, unattractive. Customers want to watch and listen to a product being showed and not be distracted by a host who is promoting a look that distracts from the purpose she is on air, to sell a garment or whatever it is. I said it before and I will say it again, if any host loves glasses as a fashion statement and doesn't really need them OR needs glasses for reading, get a pair of PRESCRIPTION GLASSES so they can read the qvc cards for information as well as see distance to the cameraman and monitors, glasses that stay on the face rather than flipping off and on 100 ties in 5 minutes.

Who was the female host? Basso is extremely rude to newbies. I distinctly remember his first show with Shawn and it changed my opinion of him. During one of her anniversary shows, when Basso and she were now buddy buddy (because she was now a star, I'm sure), she said he had made her cry.

@Alter Ego don't watch QVC much anymore, so I don't know who the new host is. I thought she was a model with Rick and Dennis. She did model the clothing.

I am not a fan of Dennis, so it is rare that I tune in when he is there. I was channel surfing when I saw Rick with him and stopped to watch for about 10 minutes. Dennis wasn't rude, but he was trying to get Rick to touch the coats and tops while the models were wearing them to feel how soft the fabric was. Rick was very uncomfortable and he had a nervous laugh throughout the presentation.

I almost fell over laughing when Rick said "where are the Dennis Basso throws?" He also kept saying " this is a four hour show, right?"

Rick was certainly out of his element and as always, Basso was touchy-feely.

All the hosts should be trained to sell everything. Exception being men with the breezies,spanx etc. That wouldn't bother me but it may others. It's fine for them to find a niche but they should sell everything. That's what they're paid for right?
