BEST OF KIM G. NOW

Guess she or her “show” was not widely accepted. She announced last night that it was the final episode of Kim Gravel Now.

I have not figured out yet what Q was thinking taking a vendor and making her a host, but obviously the experiment just didn’t pan out with the QVC audience.

Kim will go back to her clothing line and makeup, but Kim’s poor best friend Amy (from oblivion) is no longer a “star”.

***On the flip side, if the show had worked out, all hosts would have been been out of a job. It would have proved the vendors could handle the shows themselves.

It was a limited edition of shows...Yes she is loud and I know that some don't like her style but as far as presenting the products, I thought she did a good job.

@ShanusI suspect switching from being a vendor to hosting isn't as easy as it looks from the outside. Besides I know for me a bit of Kim is enough for me.

Kim isn't the first vendor who has tried a show of their own and retreated to vending, so I really don't agree with your flip side. I can't think of any vendor I'd be tuning in to watch - not even those from the brands I buy repeatedly and certainly not those for the brands I never watch already.

So -- what vendor could run their own show for you?

@millieshops I think Susan Graver, Lori Goldstein and Mally, to name a few, do not need a host to repeat what they’re already saying. They have their own ear pieces to relate what’s selling out and I’m sure the producer can give them any additional info needed. Any additional info is on the screen/monitor for them to read. Maybe if some of the hosts w/ high salaries can be eliminated, the prices of items can go down.

@Shanuslol I agree those 3 might do their own shows, but the one I already buy from, I want to be working along with a host and the other 2??? I already don't watch either one. More than anything else, if I'm actually listening to QVC, when it comes to the host, it's the voice quality that attracts me or has me muting the dialogue.

@millieshops If I watch, it’s on mute. There are few hosts/vendors I can stand to listen to...loud, fast and too much laughing and chit chat.

It was only supposed to be a limited run for a few weeks. Rick said it was the end of the summer edition. Sounded like it may be back after the holidays but who knows?

Kim's show was jsut for the month of August . and people did like the show she's up beat not like some of the other hosts that are so slow and boring . So once agin it was a limited show ans I hope she's back on real soon .

So was this thread started to applaud her failure? My goodness.

The show was only suppose to have a limited run. I applaud QVC for trying something different. We don’t know if it was a success or not, but it seemed like she had a solid base of viewers that enjoyed her show. I watched a couple of them and thoroughly liked them. But the power is in the money — I wonder if this type of show brings in enough sales to justify the format, no matter who it is.

I loved Amy’s outfit every week. I don’t know why they didn’t put her or she didn’t pick to wear Q clothes. I scoured the internet to find one of the dresses.

Seems like it could have been an easy sell if it was theirs.

It was wild last weekend when Nick Chavez was on Kim's show. He was selling something like the Flocker and both Kim and Amy let him mess up their hair and make it "big."

It does not matter how entertaining the show is.... it only matters if there are a lot of sales or not. People enjoyed her banter and foolishness.... but were not purchasing. Thus Good by Kim.

I love when Kim says Amy is trying to get a man. The show is entertaining, but I must say Kim was feeling it on her last show. She seemed a little more polished presenting the products, talking about the price, the easy pays, and throwing it over to Amy.

Throughly enjoyed the shows, and happy for Kim. Amy could not be a better wing girl. Waiting for the next episodes.

It was 4 episodes pilot. QVC said this before it’s started. It can be again in 2020. It was planned this way .
