Authentic Living with Sandra

This is the title of the new Sandra Bennett show. While I am sure Sandra is a lovely person, I have no idea if she is living " authentically." Nor do I care. To me, living authentically means living honestly and by my own values. It has nothing to do with buying products. I know it is marketing just like wearing slogans on your clothes. QVC is really stretching it.

Boy they are really trying to make new shows with the same old merchandise. Get some new lines and then make new shows around that.

This place has become such a downer. Sad stories, outrage, criticism.

@chessylady I like Sandra. I'm not sure about the "authentic" part. It's kind of like Down Home with David. Pretty much a mix if everything. I would be happy if it just stayed with home products. But, I'm afraid it will include skin products, etc.

Amen! Years ago, I would read these boards and laugh so hard! I've recently returned, and have noticed a huge change. Now, it's about grumpy, unhappy people complaining, nit-picking, and bashing. Ugh. It's most definitely tiresome.

You’re not required to be here. If it’s that tiresome then I’m sure you’ll make the right decision about staying.

Back to the topic, I’m not sure how authenticity factors into shopping but it’s one of those popular buzzwords now co-opted by people making money off it.

@PA Mom-mom - They've actually already promoted the fact that beauty products will be included in Sandra's shows. This definitely seems like another case of a new name for a show filled with the same ol' stuff; why pretend it's something special to have a show featuring home products, kitchen products, beauty products, and more? Saturday and Sunday Morning Q already exist...

It is an intriguing title and there are some interesting things.

I don not understand however, how a 20 piece eyeliner set for $89 is at all

"authentic?" or realistic? Maybe to a makeup artist or theater person?

It seems before you could even get enough use of them, they would dry out.

and I've bought LG 6 pack and Mally 6 pkg eye liners -- imo not what they claim to be! Plus, dry out!

As for the show - oh well, just a new name for the "same ole stuff"!
