New QCard Signup Promotional Offer

This was received by snail mail. Promotion is get approved for new Qcard and receive $75 credited to the card. There are a football field worth of rules. Like must make purchase by 7-22 and then the Q has 4-6 weeks to give you he credit. The rest was fine print that i haven’t read. Don’t need or want their card but for $75??? They must be hard up for customers.

Sounds like every other card company - I don't have the Synchrony card, but I've had offers like that from Citibank, from AmEx. and from Chase. All the companies are looking for new borrowers, so I suspect these offers come as much from the bank as they do from QVC. QVC is just their messenger.

There are always lots of rules involved with every bank, so be sure you read the fine print and follow it carefully. If you miss a date even by a day, QVC probably can't do a thing to help you get that "free" money. It's Synchrony money.

@Shawnie I got the $100 offer and opened a Q card, followed the rules and purchased items on Lunchtime or prime time or free shipping on items that I wanted. Then I checked each purchase was deducted correctly from the $100.

I haven’t used it since then, because I get credit on my card On file.

I have noticed that HSN has points credits occasionally on their card.

I have been a customer since 1989 and did not get any offer. So much for any kind of deals for loyal customers. ( I would not have signed up anyway!) It is not really a deal but I would like to see some “benefit” to long term customers. I feel TPTB would rather grab new customers than preserve “older” ones.

@wakefield64 I've been with QVC since the beginning also. I just closed my Q card account last week after 2 months of technical difficulties { their words} of me trying to log on and pay my account. I've never had an issue until May but I rarely buy anything on my Q card. In over 30 years I would occasionally get a coupon during my birthday month but as you said they are more interested in new customers than loyalty to their old ones.

Why can't QVC give special promotions to us "old time" customers who have had a Q-card since the dawn of time? I've spent a lot of money at QVC over the years and never got a thank you except an offer for Easy Pay one Thanksgiving about 20 years ago.

I find that they are not the only ones. Other companies as well give the deals to new customers to get them in.

As for credit card offers every single one that comes in the mail goes immediately into my shredder. I don't open the ones in email either, immediately goes into trash and emptied. I have exactly what I need.

I think it stinks.. I have been a customer for over 20 yrs. when I got my card I think I got a $5.00 credit.. and also would get birthday cards with something special.. not anymore
