QVC vs HSN

I am beginning to buy more from HSN as I like the fast shipping, fast return policy, different options in payments, and finally the clear printout sheet that comes with my orders.

I ordered 2 items late Saturday and I received them both today. Order does not sit with the processing message for a week before being shipped.

I think QVC should check with HSN and learn something.

I only shop at HSN when they send me a 15% coupon, I usually purchase something before the expiration date. Waiting for another coupon so I can purchase one of those Samantha Brown suitcase sets.

Never received any discount coupon from "The Q."

I worry they will change their ways to be more Q like. I already noticed a lot less free shipping lately, whereas in the past there were TONS of items with free shipping. They should just keep their operations the same and leave well enough alone.

HSN also sends a $5.00 off coupon in a birthday card.... and they have free shipping events MUCH more often. Even right now it's free shipping on over $75 in clearance items. It makes a difference!

HSN sometimes still amazes me. I had forgotten that I had an item on auto-delivery. I received notification that the item was being shipped. I immediately cancelled the remaining auto-delivery for that item. And lo and behold, they even cancelled the item that was about to ship. Amazing that they are able to do such things and QVC can't seem to let you cancel even when they extend delivery of an item.

Know what I usually get from the Q for my birthday? An offer to do easy pay. And it usually comes weeks after my birthday.

Personally I don't care for HSN at all!!!! To me it is comparing apples and oranges, HSN being Family Dollar and qvc a few stops up, but nothing to brag about. Don't like the clothes at HSN, they look cheaply made and the model's are so unprofessional . The stylists fit plus side models in clothes for presentation and no way should a plus size model wear certain styles, same tho, on QVC

HSN has always been far superior to QVC in my opinion, although I think we are changes for the worse.

HSN hosts are much, much more professional, informed, prepared, well groomed and almost always dressed appropriately. Very little, if any, extraneous nonsense such as dancing, twirling and random calisthenics.

QVC has become bargain basement and, unfortunately, is taking HSN down to the cellar with it.

I've watched both HSN and the Q for many years. I prefer the hosts on the Q any day. To me, the HSN hosts seem to be Barbie dolls, a lot of facial surgeries, and not down to earth or genuine. That's just my take on it.

I rarely order from HSN anymore. They just offer very little that appeals to me. They have also gone through some changes that aren't for the better.

Gone are the days of coupons being offered by HSN as they were in the past. They don't offer free s/h like they used to in the past and even their sale and clearance prices aren't what they used to be. Yes some things are super cheap but I'm also seeing a couple of dollars off "sale" items.

I don't find their hosts to be better or worse than those on QVC. I don't find them anymore prepared or well spoken than those on QVC. Last night I happened to tune in and Lynn was presenting MarlaWynne clothing and commented on the "exhuberant prices" out in the stores. LOL Not sure if they still do but HSN has had their share of antics by hosts on programs. When Guy and Leslie had the morning show, a lot of it was silliness and ridiculousness.

I still think HSN is going to be gone pretty soon.

My QVC shipping times are back to normal, which makes me very happy. HSN fell of the radar for me and I didn't buy from them for several years. Not for any reason, I just stopped watching so I stopped buying from them. But then QVC/HSN came under the same parent company and I began to visit HSN.com...so....of course... I started shopping again. They never had any shipping problems which makes sense because they are still separate companies in most respects. I'm getting purchases from both in 3-4 days now. I don't know why but Evine is also delivering in record time for them. 4-5 days when it was always 8 or 9 days.

I like both channels, but have shopped more on QVC. I liked it better when they were separate. Hate tuning in to HSN to see IT Cosmetics, Bare Minerals, etc. when I have already seen the items numerous times on QVC. HSN had a lot more free shipping before the merger. Prefer them to be separate, but guess it's too late for that.

Don’t buy as much from HSN as I have from Q but recently had to return an HSN item and although I shipped “my way” noticed they offered both pre paid USPS and UPS which is a big plus as far as I’m concerned.

I was also hoping Q would reinvent there shipping department using HSN as their model. Doesn’t look like it’s going that way!
