I believe I just heard Sharon say that she is leaving..She'll be on the air for 2 more weeks anfd then she's gone WOW..

I enjoy watching her , she does her job well. Maybe onto something better , there is a lot of stress in hosting jobs that a lot of people like to criticize on these boards.

I saw her at the end of gourmet holiday. I'm sad to hear it I have always liked Sharon. One of the few I can listen to for hours. I can understand wanting to spend more time with her children they grow up so fast . I'll miss her on the food shows.

Her children are not babies. I think that is just the excuse she's using. She just made 15 years. She's too young to retire and again, the kids are in school and not babies. She will do something else like Albany.

Even school aged children need their mother. No one said anything about retiring, she just leaving QVC.

Exactly!....and it doesn't matter how old they are - they are still her "babies".

I think being a QVC host must be grueling. Yes, I'm guessing they make fabulous money, but swinging shifts, working weekends and holidays must get tiresome. Best wishes to Sharon and hope she enjoys her time with her family.

Agree 10000%, what is the saying......all that glitters is not GOLD

So many hosts leave, I bet 100% It is more to the story, her kids are big. I think she asked for a schedule change , .....or was possibly told of a pending change and knew it was time for her to depart. We will never know what really happened!!!

@San Antonio Gal: Why all of the speculation? None of us know the details as to why Sharon is leaving. She said it is to concentrate on raising her children, I believe her. In the end, it really doesn't matter what we think about her leaving. I wish her well with whatever she decides to do.

This is just my own thoughts....But she does have a Special Relationship with Lori Goldstein...I would bet that she becomes part of the LOGO Team...and you'll be seeing her from time to time doing her shows.

There is a new movement amongst young workers called "FIRE"... Financial Indepedence, Retire Early. Workers as young as 40 have saved enough to retire. Sharon worked 15 years earning a big salary. She may have been a smart saver and can afford to retire early. In guessing she is only around 40.

Lets be honest working at QVC is not exactly grueling work. These people are only on their feet 2-3 hours at a time.bank workers, hotel employees and even brick and mortar retail workers are routinely scheduled 6-10 hours a day at a much lower wage. I like Sharon but lets not infer that QVC is a grueling work environment. They aren't laying brick or paving roads in 90 degree heat!

In order to discuss host’s job need to know job requirements and job responsibilities for host position. Another words what really this job is. We see just one side of it. So why to compare or speculate about something which is really not our business.

Just my opinion.
