The prepaid label items are the last to be processed, please note they actually could sit at your local post office for as long as 2 wks before they even move anywhere.

That's why it takes so much longer for you to get your money back, sometimes sending back priority mail at your cost is cheaper than waiting for that package to be sent back.

I have had a problem with the prepaid return label for two items I've returned over the last couple of weeks. One was an item from the Q and another was a different company entirely. The QVC item was dropped off at my local UPS store on 5/15/2014 and according to the tracking it was only just picked up by the shipping agent on 5/31/2014! So it sounds as if it basically sat in the post office for two weeks and never even left my city! For the item I ordered from a different company, the tracking number hasn't even made it into the system yet and the item was dropped off at the post office on 5/21/2014. It sounds like it was stolen because it should have at least made it into their system by now. Unfortunately, I didn't get a receipt when I dropped the items off, so I guess I'm out of luck. Will not use prepaid labels again. Not worth the time it takes for the return and the aggravation!

I find the labels convenient, and I do not have a problem if it sits at the Post Office until picked up by the shipping agent. I know once QVC receives it, I will get my refund, so I do not understand the big deal.

Yes, I understand some people rely on the money to be returned quickly, but quite frankly, if I am hard up for money, I certainly would not be ordering fro QVC.

This is not a criticism of the OP or others with similar opinions. I know some people are fastidious about this sort of thing. I tend to be fastidious about some other things, but this just does not bother me.

I don't have a problem with the smart labels, either....I put the item on my porch...mailman picks it up....and off it goes....I receive my money fairly quick....I am aware it takes longer then if I pay to do my own return...but it is usually more costly then what the smart labels are....

If you're dropping it off at either the post office or the UPS store, have it scanned and get a tracking number and proof you did your due diligence. If it hasn't been processed as a return in 2 weeks, call CS from whatever company you ordered from, give them the tracking number and once they determine it's in limbo somewhere in the system, QVC definitely and probably most companies, will go ahead and issue your refund.

I rarely use the prepaid labels....they cost more than going to USPS.com and printing your own priority mail postage...which comes with free delivery confirmation. And it gets there faster...thus, faster return processing.

I use the prepaid label only on large packages that would cost a lot more to pay for myself. Even so, I usually see the refund within 10 days.

I always use the pre-paid labels and have never had a problem, in fact, my returns almost always occur very quickly. I drop them off at a UPS store (in fact, usually the local Office Depot that handles UPS shipping), and get my returns typically in 7 business days. I llive in the DC metro area, so maybe that has something to do with it(?) I don't know.

With only a 30 day return policy, that's cutting it close. A receipt with a tracking that proves when you dropped it off solves lots of problems!

I have never had a problem. With both UPS and USPS, they are immediately scanned and I am given tracking info. That starts the process and I'm pretty sure that the company the package is going to is also notified. I really don't care if the refund is delayed but have always have refunds done quickly anyway.

Sometimes it takes awhile for the package to enter the system. I've had a few items take awhile to get there, but they always showed up. As long as it has been entered at the P.O. you should be covered.

In fact, with the Q, you only need to wait 12 days, then small CS and they will process the refund, since they are able to track it from their end. The key is to take it in to the PO, get it scanned and get your receipt.

The local post offices have a special bin for Q returns. I am not sure but probably returns to other companies like Eddie Bauer and HSN get put in there too. The packages are picked up every couple of weeks, depending on the location, but the special shipping service (you know, that sloooow service we hate) pickes them up. I asked my local p.o. guy why my package went into a different bin than the others that were in line in front of me, and he explained it all. - Bird

I usually use my own postage, making a label on Paypal, and drop it off at the PO.

Once, when I had a really bad cold and didn't have the energy to do that, I just slapped on the prepaid label ..... it's the convenience factor.
