I enjoyed the BBQ show this morning with Dan Hughes. He had many of the same vendors that David has but he seemed to genuinely engage the vendor even while selling the product. He was very funny and I found myself wanting to see more. Anybody else see it?

I did not see the show, but I do love Dan. Your description is very good, he does engage the vendors, and seems like such a "softer" sell than most hosts are pushing these days.

He was watchable with Oscar, but O.seems to have disappeared so that leaves Dan all alone grasping for reality.

I definitely agree with the OP. Dan Hughes is a great host! He was particularly funny in this show. He's one of my favorites!!

Fake to sound sincere...........exactly the impression I get too. Nice guy - good looking but I can not listen to him. That drippy voice = chills!

Although I did not see this particular show, I do enjoy Dan Hughes as a host....he is one of the FEW that gives details about the actual product

I saw Oscar 2 or 3 days ago. I love Oscar especially since I saw him put Albany in her place. They were doing Q Check, music was playing and despite his protests, she obnoxiously insisted they dance. After a few steps, Oscar said,"Well can I at least lead?" I nearly fell in the floor laughing.

Dan Hughes is a very good host. His QVC face book is wonderful to read. He explains every thing in detail when he is showing a product. Would love to see his home in person when he decorates for Christmas. He puts up thousands of lights that he actually starts decorating in October.

I think Dan Huges is a nice man, and a great host. He has a great,calm demeanor. But, you like him or you don't, that isa personalthing. I do like him. He explains product detail well because he from the original group of Hosts who knew how to sell without yelling, dancing, and talking gibberish. He is from the group of soft sell hosts that measured product,showed how it worked, explained every aspect of the product. You really had a good idea how big it would be, what color it was and what to expect when it arrived. Now they rarely show the the inside of a handbag,the back of an item, measure, or show the actual product in close detail. They just twirl the item around, talk about what they did on vacation, what their kids did, how rich you will look in their product, then engage in a jabfest with the vendor for air space. LOL!

I agree with you completely shoekitty. The are few hosts I can stand to watch anymore. He doesn't describe everything as " super, super easy" or "super cute" or totally or "fav" that ll dives me crazy! I am not a teenager . I like Gabrielle as well. I don't understand why she doesn't get to do day shows when the new . people do. I do most of my shopping online because I do find many of the hosts annoying. But as you stated you would like to know the details of an item to make a decision. I never did care for Jean Bice and found it rather odd when she whined about having to give garment measurements. Did she want to sell the item or not. Now it seems more than ever they don't give details. There is a certain talent to being a good salesperson. My mother had that skill, she knew her product and was honest with people. She sold fine jewelry and knew her stuff.
