Just curious as I'm watching Barefoot Dreams presentation - It is being repeated over and over that a "certain talk show host" loves this brand. Is that a selling point? I have no idea why but as soon as I hear that or "Red carpet" or " celebrity ", I change the channel. It must work or they wouldn't say this stuff so often but for me, it's a turn off. Literally. In fact, I just did. Lol.

I love the brand and have a lot of it,but I could care less what celeb owns it or about the California vibe.

No, the only people I listen to and appreciate their input if people like the QVC community that buy the product. I always thought entertainers and celebrities get paid everytime they say or promote stuff. I appreciate honest, more everyday people's opinions.

I like it too. My petty annoyance applies to anything they sell via celebrity/Hollywood/OR reference. Lol.

In fact, they used to mention OPRAH’S name all the time. I was just wondering when she trademarked it and made them stop saying it. Too funny. Plus, she hasn’t been a talk show host in ten years.

Have never tried the Brand and could care less who wears it and what they say, I prefer to try it myself and then decide. But I have so many cardigans and sweaters and not sure my closet can handle another one...not to mention my bank account

I don’t give a rat’s patooty about a “certain talk show host”. I’ve never cared for her & certainly don’t purchase a product just because she touts it. I JUST DON’T CARE! That goes for red carpet and celebrities, too! I purchase. Product and decide for myself whether or not I like it.

Its kind of insulting that they think people would just of course want to buy things because a celebrity does.

But maybe some people are influenced.

I only watch if I am interested in buying something. I’m not.

And, no, I don’t care who likes something. My opinion is the only one hat matters when I am shopping.

I don't care about other celebrity endorsements but anything Oprah puts on her lists is saying the items are ususally great. Her staff finds most of them, tests them , etc and then recommends them for her list. It's kind of like the Good Housekeeping recommendations - not because it's Oprah but because these products have been researched, tested and tried by many and pronounced great products.

However I can see using this as a selling tool when Oprah's show was on, but it has not been on in 8? years.

so move on from the past and sell the product on its merits

They're trying to appeal to the more "upscale shopper" who they believe follows celebrity fashion and influencer blogs/YouTube channels. As someone who enjoys fashion and has visited some influencer sites, this type of clothing really isn't shown or worn much. They'd do better appealing to regular middle class shoppers looking for comfort who are willing to spend those prices regardless of who else wears it.
