Lisa Robertson wasnt just a phenom host. She had the power to take a vendors product and triple to quadriple the amount of sales. She was a cash cow and made many vendors rich. For example bare esecentuals was a little product and it became a huge force with Leslie and Lisa. Judith Ripka and Lisa omg it was juat one sell out after another. Most of thesw vendors should thank their lucky stars Lisa was there to sell out of their products. Many gained lots of weath becsuse of her. Thats why most vendors loved working with her. She was like magic in a bottle.

I think Lisa Robertson became rich to. She is basically retired, lives in a beautiful home, travels. I think she had a good gig at QVC and should have stayed. I have often thought that she is trying to create her own shopping channel but I really don't care. I thought she was a good host.

If this is true then why is she selling a few dozens of her items instead of tens of thousands? ...and Vendors who she made rich should be lining up at her couch studio.

A good sales person might move a lot of product initially, but consistent high sales are the result of people liking a good product. LR was never the Denin & Co diva and yet millions and millions have sold. Good products sell themselves.

Shame that Lisa isn't able to offer and sell some awesome products for her own business. She started off by saying she was going to sell quality items but lately it all seems like flea market leftovers and warehouse close outs. Maybe she ought to take some time off and get some rest. Posts from her home look like it's a mess with all that clutter, and the unfiltered photos look like she could use a break. Poor thing.

No one made anyone else rich. It takes a lot more than one host on a shopping channel, no matter who he or she is.

Many companies did very well because they had good products that the public wanted, and they benefited from the exposure that QVC provided. That's why they were successful, not because of anything LR single-handedly did.

@JONNYSBRO-- I've missed you. Have you been packaging up LR's radishes for shipping? The vendors make themselves rich by having a quality product that people want and/or need.

The person who made everyone rich was Joe Segal. First he created the Franklin Mint. Then he created QVC. He is the genius behind the billion dollar corporation. Without him who knows where all the sales people would be?

I would say a true star who came out of QVC's line-up is Mike Rowe. He has had multiple tv shows, tv ads, books. He is not pushing faux flowers or clad jewelry.

@JONNYSBRO, I was never a super fan of Lisa's. But then again, I'm not a super fan of any show hosts. They're sales people. Some do a far better job than others. I prefer to be given the nitty-gritty of the product being sold over how amazing it is and given the Fifth Avenue, Hampton's and Ladies who Lunch spiel. I fall into none of those categories.

I certainly do not know the reason Lisa left the Q. But I, like others, have my own speculation. I think the Q chose not to renew her contract. There are people who think they ARE the main event in businesses, but those same people forget that NO ONE is indispensable. Personally I think Lisa got way too big for her britches and thought whatever she demanded she'd get and the Q's management thought otherwise.

As far as Leslie and Judith - they've landed on their feet just fine without Ms. Robertson. Both sold their companies for hefty profits and neither have appeared on her Facebook begging for her help.

Lisa's offerings are overpriced, run of the mill, nothing special. The whole business of hers seems pretty sad to me.

The younger less serious host aren't selling, because it's all a game and they don't know how to sell style.

Lisa was the PMS host and most of the more classier styles and designer brands always sold by her.

Now it is all about foolish games such as what was your favorite food in high school or what did you do this past weekend??? AND staring at oneself in the monitor. Also, throw a little drama and dancing in the mix.

You do need to keep in mind that Lisa was better suited to representing higher end fashion, jewelry, and beauty. She is still great friends with these many, many of these vendors today. Caroline represents D&C beautifully because that is more her style. D&C is also more middle of the road fashion with a median price point that will naturally have the greatest sales.

After watching Lisa the past few months on her Facebook, I don't think she's suited for high end products anymore. She's cheapened her brand and constantly wiping her nose, scratching her face and eyes, touching her hair, etc. Not very polished at all. I would never in a million years have guessed that Lisa would be caught wearing some of the items she's worn lately or carried some of the purses she's sold in recent months. Nice that she's able to let her true personality show through on her Facebook, though, but I can't imagine her going back to the on-air persona we saw at Q--not unless she has a full staff to help her pull it all together like she did at Q.
