QVC name change?

Just thought I saw QVC was changing their name...is that true? If so I think it would be a big mistake. They have great name recognition now and change ....in that way isn’t always good. That being said, it may be a good idea to present some more interesting products and not the same pillows, throws, flashlights, beds..just to name a few.

i dont think QVC is changing its name.

its parent company changed its name recently.......it was LIBERTY INTERACTIVE and it is now called QURATE RETAIL GROUP.

Qurate (pronounced “curate”) will comprise eight retail brands — QVC, HSN, Zulily, Ballard Designs, Frontgate, Garnet Hill, Grandin Road and Improvements — each focused around shopping in modes outside the parameters of traditional ecommerce or brick-and-mortar stores.

“Qurate Retail Group will be a new venture in more ways than just a change of name,” Maffei said in a statement. “We will be a select group of like-minded businesses that provide customers with curated collections of unique products, made personal and relevant by the power of storytelling, combining the best of retail, media and social.”

QVC's parent company, Liberty Interactive is said to be changing their name to Qurate Retail Group.

Perhaps you’re thinking of Liberty Interactive name change to Qurate Retail Group which occurred last month.

Yes, this is what I saw. Thanks for the explanation. I would be shocked if QVC would change such a Long standing name...i was surprised when Evine changed theirs. it took awhile to get used to that one.

No name change, but whatever they call themselves, I completely agree...
