Two orders in one package

I got two separate orders in one package. First time ever.

Does this happen more often lately? I still got charged separate shipping for each item, though.

The items happened to be two pairs of pants - one Denim & Co, the other Martha Stewart.

@GingerPeach Yes! QVC has been doing that a lot lately. I've been receiving these large boxes with several pieces of clothing in them.

They're different orders, different pieces of clothing (i.e. a blouse, pants, jacket, etc).

My friends tease me about the large boxes I've been getting but every now and then they'll be in a large box instead of 3 or more white plastic bags.

Like you, I still get charged shipping and handling for each one but they come together.

It's only every now and then, but it does happen. Today I received 4 white plastic bags, no large boxes. Go figure. No rhyme or reason....go figure!

Been happening to me alot lately they just started that, but we still are paying 2 seperate charges not right at all. Back in the day when they would combine orders you would get the second one half price now they figured out how to take advantage of us I hope alot others start complaining too.

I rather a box than two bags because then my mail person can't stuff it in the mailbox.

One benefit is that if you return just can put multiple items in the box with one return fee. At least that is what I do.

@GingerPeach The other day I received 4 items in one bag, as far as the environment is concerned it makes sense, but I do agree that we should not have to pay full shipping on each item!

I’d be annoyed to pay for individual shipping for each item and receive my products in one box or bag. Unless the weight and size of the shipping package actually doubled to increase the carrier fees, I wouldn’t expect it to be fair to pay for 2 shipping charges for the one package containing 2 orders. Seems sneaky.

@granddi IF you are lucky, from what I have been reading here on the Forums QVC charges people incorrectly all the time for Return fees even when they pay for it themselves, QVC needs to amp up their policies if they want to continue to be a choice where people go to shop. Other vendors combine orders and give you a discount on shipping or they do not even charge a shipping fee, why qvc does not jump on the band wagon, is beyond me? Walmart even gives you free shipping with a $50.00 or more order?

Perhaps Q is taking a cue from Amazon - happened yesterday - a garden tool and 2 hummingbird feeders. Amazon does it all the time if I purchase two items within 3 days or so.

No last time I used the box to return 1 item of the 3 that were in the box I was charged return shipping as if I had returned all 3 items. They corrected it after I complained.

Amazon has always done this - placed items into as few packages as possible. Actually, sometimes they even ask you whether that is what you choose. What I noticed is that this is the first time QVC has done it.

It only makes sense. I don't understand why it took QVC so long to get to this point.

I WANT as many items in one package as possible. It's more efficient.

It's so that if you return both items, Qvc will just refund you for the less expensive item and think nobody notices the other didn't get refunded. So they save money twice. It's been complained on enough here, and happened to me before, too!

I personally think it’s a dishonest business practice to charge separate shipping costs, yet ship items together as one shipment.

Am I to understand, which I think I do,can someone tell me why HSN pretty much always does free shipping, even though, to my understanding QVC bought them out. I rarely, if ever, buy from HSN...I'm a Q girl, however it's getting harder to buy from the Q because of their prices!!! If both companies are owned by the same conglomerant, why can't QVC take a hint from HSN? I just cannot afford the prices on the Q anymore!! I really have to bite the bullet to do so!!!
