did anyone hear the caller on pm style last night? First she pointed out that the vendor neglected to mention the fabric of the spanx leggings. Then she said that Shawn keeps saying they're $44 when they're really $44>98. She pointed out that shawn ALWAYS does that. Very very awkward.

Good for whoever it was! It drives me crazy when they say e.g. It is less than 50.00 and it is 49.98 plus shipping and handling (most of the time.). Wish I had heard it.

Yes I heard the call and actually replayed it as I could not believe the producers allowed it to go on, I really don't think that caller had any right to call out Shawn and the vendor like that and then to say she had watched all the presentations all day on the leggings and that no one was delivering the right information to the customers- all i can say is she must be some old lonely lady that has nothing to do in her life and more than likely doesn't even own a pair of the leggings- very rude

Yes, I heard that caller when Shawn was presenting the Spanx. The caller sounded very annoyed and told Shawn to stop saying the price was $44.00, when in fact they cost $44.98. The caller was somewhat relentless, and when Shawn sheepishly apologized, it sounded like they dropped the call.

Shawn then continued to say the leggings cost $44.00. I got a good chuckle from it !

I couldn't believe it either. I think Shawn handled it well.....smiled and said she apologized. So rude and awkward.

It does sound awkward but I do think they should always say what the fabric is. Its not as if everyone knows, especially if they've never bought spanx before.

That was one of the things I liked about Lisa Mason, she always said the correct price plus shipping and handling.

Why would Shawn say they were $44 IF they were $44.98.? $44 is not the price. She could have said under $50.... but to say the price is $44 is just wrong.

I heard her...i could understand wanting to get specific info about the product they were selling if she had watched numerous presentations and never heard from any host describe the fabrics used in the product....when i am interested in something it bugs me too if they don't go over the details of the item..................

but as far as Shawn saying $44 instead of $44.98....QVC hosts say things like that all the time....guess i am just used to it.....don't think Shawn was too happy though.

I didnt see the show,I don't watch Shawn. But wouldn't it be more honest to say it's $45 rather than $44 since its much closer to the higher price? Oh silly me..we're talking about a sales lady here. Nevermind.

They should have cut her off. The window on the TV screen shows the price and the item number, so this lady was looking for trouble.

Shawn apologized. Then afterward, she said the spanx were $44.00. Good for her

I saw the incident. Awkward but caller was correct. I don't know why she would bother because it was just plain unnecessary since that is something that falls inside someone else's perview. Like the producer.

There are actually customers watching that would really appreciate pertinent information in order to buy something! What the caller was telling Shawn is to do her job!

I watched the video just now, since I rarely watch Shawn's shows. When the caller asked about the fabric content, and even mentioned it was not brought up all day (all day??), I thought it was a great call out. At that time, the caller sounded genuinely concerned and wanted to make sure Shawn & the vendor knew how important that information was for some to make a purchase decision.

But the $44 discrepancy went too far. The caller then went into chastising Shawn -- kept saying "she does that all the time," truly dismissing Shawn on live TV. The caller came off looking petty.

If I was Shawn I would have stated something like, "I was rounding the dollar figure, which probably should be $45 instead of $44. But I understand your point entirely." I would not have apologized, if I was in Shawn's spot. If Shawn was to say she understood the caller's point, that can include the unmentioned thought -- I understand you are trying to call me out rudely on national TV, I get it.

Now, all I walk away from that is RUDE caller, not I'm glad Shawn was told how to do her job on TV.
