Must be something in the water on the Q......seems 1st MaryBeth and now Jill...growing out their short hair and going long.....what do you think? I think it ages them by 15 years...

I like them much better in the short cute hair cuts....but whatever....

Looks like Shawnie Sue is doing it now too!!!!

I guess they needed a change.I think there is more you can do to style hair that has some length to it.I love shawns hair but I haven't seen the other two yet.I font watch much daytime Q.

I'm sure they are just going through hair phases like the rest of us do...grow it out, cut it off...grow it out again, cut it off again...and on and on. I'm in a growing out stage myself and am certain I'll wake up one morning ready to whack it off! I do think longer hair on an older woman can age her, which is why I'm watching my grow out very closely this time (I'm 51)...LOL!

Now I think the exact opposite. They both look much fresher and younger and not like they are aging so they must wear short hair like many think! Even if I didn't think that - it's their hair and up to them how they wear it.

I don't think it's a hard and fast rule that when you are older you have to cut your hair. Some people look better when they have a little length. I think of Jackie Kennedy, she never went short , and always looked chic. One size doesn't fit all.

Jill just has too much hair - mounds of it -

MB seems to drag her face down - appear older than her age

I don't think their current hairstyles are flattering at all, especially Mary Beth's. I also think it ages them. I don't care for Pat's hair either. Used to love her short hair cut that she had years ago.

I don't think it has as much to do with length as it has to do with style. Both of them currently have really bad hairstyles. MaryBeth looked really good in her bob, but the time she cut it really short (years ago) it looked like "old lady" hair. Jill's short hair looked nice on her, but she had that style forever.

It's hard to go through hairstyles with the world watching.

I haven't seen MaryBeth's new look, but I think shorter is probably better. Same for Jill. A newer style for Jill would be okay, but I don't care for the longer hair. JMO--none of our business, of course.

@MarthaStewardess. I agree; I remember Pat well when she had short hair. She was super cute and looked much younger.

I too believe that a shorter cut is much more attractive on us 50 something women. I know it may not be true for everyone but I think most. I head a big head of thick, long, curly hair when I was younger up until my illness a few years ago. After chemo and losing it all (traumatic) it was coming in and very short. I was out shopping with my daughter and we bumped into a college friend of hers who actually said I never knew you had an older sister...........needless to say it has stayed short!!!! LOL

I think it's a very smart look for both of them. Based on their body types, shorter hair styles are just not as flattering. Carolyn should also folllow suit as well.

I heard Carolyn Gracie tell a rep yesterday that she was growing out her hair!
