I just finished my first bottle of Rewnew Life Women's Care Ultimate Flora. 25Billion cultures. I have stomach issues, UTIs and other TMI stuff. I saw this on Dr Oz not saying he is good or bad on the the advise, just saying. It's not cheap but I thought I would try it. I have felt better and just bought a second bottle. I had been taking anoither cheaper one and was kind of a waste of money. There is so much probitic info that it's mind boggling. Basicly I wanted this one with Flora for women issues. Then you want the large number of cultures or strains. My doctor said it was a good one to take when I was there for totally unrelated issue. Sinus infection. Sometimes after taking a course of antibiotics women get a problem. Again TMI. Anyway I am taking them. There are probably a lot of people who have a lot more info than me, I am just giving you my experience. Good luck.

My doc told me today, based on a few problems I'm having (won't go into them here, TMI!) that he wants me to start on probiotics and recommended I talk to my pharmacist(s) (they are wonderful) about which ones to take.

Anyone here take any brand they would recommend? I saw on advertised by Phillips on TV called Colon Health. Any suggestions from anyone? Many thanks

Been taking a probiotic complex supplement for many years, and I really like the ones by 'Now Foods' (orange label) and 'Renew Life' (yellow label).

Probiotics are not only great for human and animal GI systems, but also offer immune support.

It's recommended to take one with at least 15 billion CFU's, and keep it refrigerated to maintain efficacy.

My gastro. dr. recommended Floristor. I take them 2 times a day. They are expensive. Prices vary from store to store, but they are about $22.99 a box. I would like to try a cheaper version but since he recommends these, I am hesitant. I do think they make a difference and since I have so many issues, I think every little thing helps!!! It might help to go on-line and read about probiotics. Put your particular issues in and ask which type or strains of probitics would be most helpful.

The best thing to do when choosing a probiotic is to research the different probiotics to determine which has the strain(s) of bacteria that would be most beneficial to your particular problem or concern. Your pharmacist should also be able to assist you in that regard. A probiotic that may be best for one person may not be the best for the next person, so just asking for a recommendation of what someone else is taking may not best serve your purposes.

I take Culturelle, which contains Lactobacillus GG, which has been proven to be effective against C. difficile infection.

Whichever you choose, start off slowly with a lower dose. Your stomach may bubble with too high a dose, initially. It will adjust.

I take one called Pure Restore 40+ (by Essence Labs) 15 strains, 35 billion. It is the kind that has to be refrigerated. I have known the health food store owner for years and this is the one she takes. They sell more of this one because people just seem to have better results with it.
