I love it, I can feel a difference in energy&general well being vs. drinking other teas. I buy organic pure matcha from amazon most times, or at my local market. I have a small bamboo whisk to foam my tea into "latte" matcha tea ☺

I definitely notice a difference!

I've been drinking green teas for a while now, but within the last couple months added matcha. It does seem that I have more calm and more concentration and more energy for the day.

I'm sure I'm late to the party, and I was wondering who else has experienced benefits?

My heritage is Japanese so I was raised on it. I've drank it most of my life so I can't tell you what it's like without it. I buy my matcha in kilo-size bags (2.2-lbs) from a local Asian market. Last me quite a while. I love the taste of it and make things with it other than just the tea beverage.

My DH is practically addicted to green tea. He loves a tea bag from Best Foods called Green Kick, a combo of Sensa and Matcha. I get it online from Puritans Pride, Swanson or Vitacost or Pure Formulas, whoever is offering a better deal at the time.

Besides using matcha in beverages and smoothies, it can be used in baked goods. Many recipes for cookies, brownies, pancakes...and more! I even make a face mask with it because it is full of antioxidants. Amazon has many matcha cookbooks and of course google for recipes which I did for the face mask. @dex

Growing up, matcha was just a tea to drink. I think the western world has brought it into the limelight, for good reasons, and creative people have figured out wonderful ways to use it.

@Harpa, @dex,

This is my face mask recipe:

- 1 slightly rounded teaspoon matcha powder

- Few drops of pure aloe vera gel

Place in small bowl and mix well. Tip: it's easy to put too much aloe in the mix so go easy on this and add more if needed to make it easier to mix and spread. If you add too much aloe then it will be too runny and not stay on our face. Apply an even, thick as you can get it layer using your fingers to your clean dry face everywhere except eyelids. I put it on under the eyes as close as I can get it. I tried using a mask application brush but it wasted a lot of the mask on the brush. Leave mask on your face for about 15 minutes then rinse. No need to wash your face with cleanser afterwards.

The matcha's ingredients really helps knock down redness and de-puff the under eye area. Enjoy!

For those of you who want to make the matcha face mask...just a note about the aloe gel. Some gels are thicker than others so whatever you are using your final product should have the consistency of thick yogurt and have enough thickness to it so it stays on your face yet spreadable. My recipe is just approximations so you can adjust to suit to your own likeness. My aloe gel is rather thick so I usually add drops of water to the mask to make it more manageable.

@dex, @Harpa, @bow regard
