You probably can expect an increase in your premium. My premium was $20 and some change. Today I see account was debited $28 and change. I haven't received any notification of an increase but when they went down a dollar last year, I didn't get notified either. This summer, my supplemental medical insurance went from $131 to $156.

If I don't get a letter from Silver Script in a week or so, I guess I'll give them a call.

I checked RX coverage during open enrollment and found that my SilverScript also increased to $28 for 2017.

I just checked my SilverScript premium on MyMedicare.gov and found that it is exactly $28.90.

Ok then....I guess it's not a mistake. When I make a budget, I always keep extra in the checking account anyway. If the extra isn't used that month, I let it float to the next. I've learned since retirement to expect the unexpected.

@Mmsfoxxie...yes! It did go up...DH has that coverage. You received that info probably before the end of 2016 in their mailings.

If you are on an expensive drug you might want to check what you will be paying in 2017...DH takes eloquis....it went from tier 3 to 4 this year. HUGE jump in price...sigh

No, @Mom2Dogs, I'm blessed that I only take one medication on a regular basis and it mail order and they send me 5 at a time. I think it's $40 per order of 5. When I was working and had insurance through my job, it was $15.

If I didn't have insurance, I don't know what the medication would cost but I figure it would be ridiculously high so I'll keep the insurance. Plus you never know what you might be prescribed for an unexpected illness.

They did go up in price this year. I alrready called but that was not too much and I do not have a supplement for insurance for health. Actually they do not cover my meds but I have to have Part D and so I just go with the cheapest since I have to have it by Medicare law

It's CVS/Caremark's Medicare Part D prescription drug plan. My premium also went up to $29 from $25.

Yes, it's a drug plan. I call it all insurance. I do the same with dental. I'm not going to complain because I know I'm still amongst the blessed to have it at an affordable price. So many are not so lucky.

I changed to Silver Script from Humana at the beginning of 2016. I went from an increased Humana premium of $64.00 a month to $22.00 with Silver Script. My copays are higher for generics, but the one brand drug I take is the same copay as Humana. My Silver Script premium just went up to $29.30 per month, but this plan still saves me more than $300 a year over Humana.
