@LilacTree...I saw the trread you started about seeing a psychologist today, which you (wisely) abandoned, as it was indeed going in the "wrong direction".

Unfortunately, I didn't get to post a response, but wanted to offer my opiion and support.. I"ve been in therapy with several practitioners over 28 years. Sometimes things will "click", and sometimes they don't. You will know after 2 or 3 sessions. Be as open and honest as possible, and more importantly, don't worry about what you say and how you say it. Just be yourself and don't be afraid to "vent" if that's what you NEED to do.

"Good Luck" to both your and your daugther. I hope the new treatment brings some improvements.

No need to resond here, I know you want to "shut down" this subject matter. If you feel you want to confirm you saw this, you can "heart" my post.

To Readers of This Post: Please, with all due respect, DON'T RESPOND or make posts on this thread. It was not my intention to continue discussion on this subject, I only wanted to offer my support to Lilac Tree and didn't have any other means to do so.

I didn't see the other thread but just fyi, don't be surprised if this gets poofed. It is against board standards to restart a previously deleted thread.

I think it's also unrealistic to think people aren't going to respond.

I'm confused. The other thread is still there and open for posting so why start another?

It's still here and very supportive for the most part.

Because Lilac Tree was discouraged by some of the responses and said she wasn't going to come back to it.

Not really the reason. I did say that about another short post, but not the long one. I started a new thread because the other was so long I couldn't find posts I had wanted to re-read.

goldensrbest...I'm sorry if you think I acted in poor judgment. Perhaps it was, but I only wanted to extend supportive words and well wishes to LilacTree, as we had been responding to eachother on some of her threads (and others) for several months. Also, if you felt that my decision to begin this thread was "wrong", why would you respond to it personally? This is "contributing" to a thread that you feel should never have been started.

I wanted to send support your way, and had "debated" about whether or not to send you the message by starting a thread. I hope I didn't offend you in any way, and if I did so, I'm sorry. Thank you for replying. I'm glad you aren't upset about the thread I started..as it seeemd that @goldensrbest felt it was inappropriate and therefore had me wondering if I had used poor judgment and offeneded you.

I hope your daugher is receiving the help she needs, and you are feeling better and finding some sense of peace in knowing that she is moving in a positive direction.

Know that you and your daugther are in my thoughts and prayers and will remain so.
