    <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;EM&gt;&lt;FONT face="georgia,palatino" size="3" color="#008080"&gt;Thank you for the welcome,&amp;nbsp;&lt;a href="https://community.qvc.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/37168"&gt;@nomless﻿&lt;/a&gt;. &amp;nbsp;I've been lurking for quite a while and since I was feeling my blessing of feeling good so much today (plus the start of a new thread month), I decided to post. &amp;nbsp;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;EM&gt;&lt;FONT face="georgia,palatino" size="3" color="#008080"&gt;I had to go to the social security board today before my workout. &amp;nbsp;If you've ever been there, you know you have a long wait and it's a good time to observe people. &amp;nbsp;There were so many people of my age there that had problems walking or were in wheelchairs. &amp;nbsp;One man sitting next to me happened to ask me questions about Medicare. &amp;nbsp;He had a limp and I was stunned when he said that he was just curious about it but wouldn't need Medicare until he was 65, in 2 more years. &amp;nbsp;He looked older than me. &amp;nbsp;I felt so blessed for decent health while I was sitting thus my rant to you this evening.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;EM&gt;&lt;FONT face="georgia,palatino" size="3" color="#008080"&gt;I will definitely post again.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;EM&gt;&lt;FONT face="georgia,palatino" size="3" color="#008080"&gt;Hi, everyone. &amp;nbsp;I want to share how good I feel and why. &amp;nbsp;Some of you might have seen a post that I made in another thread somewhere about how much working out has helped me this year.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;EM&gt;&lt;FONT face="georgia,palatino" size="3" color="#008080"&gt;I was a fairly active person when I was working. &amp;nbsp;I retired in June of 2015 and unconsciously decided that I was going to take a vacation from any movement other than housework related. &amp;nbsp;Now most of you know that's not really exercising because you can do it as slowly as you want. &amp;nbsp;And I did.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;EM&gt;&lt;FONT face="georgia,palatino" size="3" color="#008080"&gt;For quite a few years I have had arthritis, especially in my knees. &amp;nbsp;In 2014, while still working, I had knee injections after having difficulty walking and they worked well..one in each knee. &amp;nbsp;In March of 2016, I had to have injections again. &amp;nbsp;Didn't seem to work as well. &amp;nbsp;Around that time, I also noticed that my shoulder was hurting often, my back bothered me and to pick something up from the floor was difficult.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;EM&gt;&lt;FONT face="georgia,palatino" size="3" color="#008080"&gt;I finally put what was happening to my body together. &amp;nbsp;It wasn't just turning 69 that was the problem. &amp;nbsp;My inactivity was the problem. &amp;nbsp;If you don't use it, you lose it. &amp;nbsp;Bingo!&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;EM&gt;&lt;FONT face="georgia,palatino" size="3" color="#008080"&gt;The medical network that I belonged to often sent me emails about their fitness center facility and I started paying attention to what was offered there. &amp;nbsp;I went for a visit/tour. &amp;nbsp;Before the representative was finished with the tour I told her to sign me up.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;EM&gt;&lt;FONT face="georgia,palatino" size="3" color="#008080"&gt;That was in May of this year. &amp;nbsp;I go 5 or 6 days a week if I don't have appointments, which I usually don't. &amp;nbsp;Once in a while, I'll go on Sunday, too, just to get a good walk in.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;EM&gt;&lt;FONT face="georgia,palatino" size="3" color="#008080"&gt;My physical stamina and ability has improved so much that I am amazed. &amp;nbsp;I can pick things up with ease. &amp;nbsp;I usually do a 2 mile walk and an exercise class everyday except Sunday when only walking or swimming is available. &amp;nbsp;I don't swim but that's another story, lol. &amp;nbsp;My body wasn't turning into stone after all!&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;EM&gt;&lt;FONT face="georgia,palatino" size="3" color="#008080"&gt;You will never hear me say I love exercising but I love what it does for my body. &amp;nbsp;I still have bad knees but they hardly ever bother me. &amp;nbsp;If I get crazy and wak 4 miles, I definitely have a problem the next day. &amp;nbsp;My shoulder and back hardly ever bother me either. &amp;nbsp;I've learned to be sensible in how much I do daily. &amp;nbsp;Consistency is the key, not how long each workout is. &amp;nbsp;I went out of town for a few days and actually missed it, lol.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

Like you, I can't really say I enjoy working out, but I do it because I know the benefits are huge. Our bodies were meant to move, and there are consequences if we don't. You've done great! Glad you can see the benefits. That sure helps keep motivation going.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;a href="https://community.qvc.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/37168"&gt;@nomless﻿&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp; Congrats on getting through your first day!! &amp;nbsp;I know it's a lot at first. &amp;nbsp;You're bringing me back to my days in the children's department. &amp;nbsp;I loved that job but you are always moving. &amp;nbsp;You'll get the hang of it in no time. &amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Did my Power and Pound combo this morning. &amp;nbsp;We had a sub for Power who did an old routine and I kind of liked it. &amp;nbsp;Don't like her style though. &amp;nbsp;Why some instructors think they are teaching a kindergarten class is beyond me. &amp;nbsp;It's 5:30am. &amp;nbsp;Just cue the music and let's roll. &amp;nbsp;No one wants to recite muscle groups. &amp;nbsp;As long as they look good after we're done, we got it.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I've decided November is going to be a renewal month for me. &amp;nbsp;Time to try new things. &amp;nbsp;It's going to be a very hard month at work so I'm preparing now for stress releasers. &amp;nbsp;I keep waiting for the weather to actually become fall. &amp;nbsp;We are still in the mid 80s. &amp;nbsp;We've never been this warm this late. &amp;nbsp;It's ridiculous. &amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Post that above paragraph when I'm complaining about the cold later in the year or early next. &amp;nbsp;If it ever gets here. If I have to break out the shorts for Christmas again, I'm taking a vacation north in January. &amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

Don't know how you do it at 5:30. That's dedication!&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;My quads were sore this morning from the multitude of squats I did yesterday. I got through day 2, another day of shelving. Eventually she'll show me other stuff that will be sit-down work, but for now she wants me to shelve each collection type so that I'm familiar with it. Makes sense. So I'm pooped again tonight. She's going to be a great boss.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;No workout today. The job is providing enough activity for now. I'll do something tomorrow...&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;EM&gt;&lt;FONT face="georgia,palatino" size="3" color="#008080"&gt;Congratulations on your new job,&amp;nbsp;&lt;a href="https://community.qvc.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/37168"&gt;@nomless﻿&lt;/a&gt;. &amp;nbsp;Yeah, it's hard to want to workout when you are physically busy at work all day. &amp;nbsp;I remember well.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;EM&gt;&lt;FONT face="georgia,palatino" size="3" color="#008080"&gt;I did a flexibility class today then walked 2 1/2 miles this morning. &amp;nbsp;Tuesday has a 6 pm line dancing class that I like but had only been once because I hate to go back in the evening. &amp;nbsp;I went this evening and we had such fun. &amp;nbsp;The instructor (we call him the energizer bunny) makes the class such fun! &amp;nbsp; I've got 18,444 steps on my Fitbit today! &amp;nbsp;And I didn't even put it on til ten this morning.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;EM&gt;&lt;FONT face="georgia,palatino" size="3" color="#008080"&gt;&lt;a href="https://community.qvc.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/10138"&gt;@Laura14﻿&lt;/a&gt;, what is Power and Pound? &amp;nbsp;Weight training?&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Welcome Mmsfoxxie!&amp;nbsp; Glad you enjoyed your class so well.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;nomless...sounds like you are getting quite the work-out in while getting paid for it...lol!&amp;nbsp; So happy you found this, seems like a really good fit.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hope your flight went well bopper!&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;We had a great time in PA for the Birthday celebration...meal was delicious again.&amp;nbsp; Very busy though...dogs had ear infections starting so to the vet for more ear meds, son's car to the shop, dil had a soccer game(she coaches), kids had a costume party Saturday night they went to, son had a video project he had to do for school plus other homework, etc...so it went by quickly and we left Sunday morning so he could do his homework.&amp;nbsp; It was a beautiful drive but 4 hours kills my sciatica.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;DH flew out for Australia yesterday...16-hour flight from San Fran, then a 2.5 hour drive to hotel.&amp;nbsp; He was dreading it.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;We got in a good hike yesterday, lots of hills and covered some ground.&amp;nbsp; Day before I ran(2 miles of intervals), rode my bike 25 while talking to my gf, and did weights and I was sore...had to detox from the weekend..lol.&amp;nbsp; Today is still up in the air but have to do legs. &amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Laura...I'm doing the same thing as far as trying new things...joined the running group and a book club.&amp;nbsp; Also looking at somthing else but not sure I want to make the commitment and it's farther than I wanted to drive.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I forgot to type the reason I came here in the first place...haha...duh!!&amp;nbsp; I got my sheets yesterday, they're washed and on my bed.&amp;nbsp; However, they had fluff balls on them out of the dryer...my other ones never did that before so I hope it goes aways after a couple of washes.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I love the sea-glass color but I have to admit, I think the cheaper ones I got at Costco are a little better quality.&amp;nbsp; Not a huge difference, but enough that I'm sending the ivory back and just kept the sea-glass.&amp;nbsp; Plus they take up so darn much room in your linen closet.&amp;nbsp; I cleaned mine out yestserday and got rid of sheets I don't use.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Okay, carry on. &lt;img id="smileytongue" class="emoticon emoticon-smileytongue" src="https://community.qvc.com/i/smilies/16x16_smiley-tongue.png" alt="Smiley Tongue" title="Smiley Tongue" /&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Laura...I always wash my sheets separately...I'm OCD about my laundry...lol.&amp;nbsp; This is my 4th set and didn't do anything different....didn't have trouble with the last 3 so this was unusual.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;It was the Grandpups...not Lucy...they get those fungus ear infections(our Schnauzer used to get them after a bath) and were almost out of the Otimax or whatever it's called.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I'm having quite the allergic reaction today!&amp;nbsp; Took the Clarinex that makes me hurt and ache so bad, doesn't seem to be helping.&amp;nbsp; Took Benedryl at 4 this morning....and before I went to bed.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Walked/jogged Lucy then did weights and Pilates...I really pushed myself.&amp;nbsp; This may be my life from here on out(hives, swelling, itching, and burning) so I'd never work-out if I took off when I didn't feel good.&amp;nbsp; It's either this or I take the Clarinex and then the pain is so bad and I'm so stiff, I practically feel crippled and I"m not exaggerating.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Have a great day everyone! &lt;img id="smileytongue" class="emoticon emoticon-smileytongue" src="https://community.qvc.com/i/smilies/16x16_smiley-tongue.png" alt="Smiley Tongue" title="Smiley Tongue" /&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

Being a lifelong Cubs fan, Wed night I was up late watching the game, the interviews, the celebration and then I was so keyed up I couldn't sleep. I can hardly believe they won. When they were down 3 games to 1, I didn't think they could win 3 straight. Game 7 was sure a nail biter. They're such a fun team now. Great guys on the team thanks to Ricketts and Epstein. Can'the wait for spring training!&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Yesterday work was again difficult because my trainer was not available to work with me on the catalog system, so it was another day of shelving books. I don'the mind doing that, I even enjoy it, but 5 hours of it is a lot of work. I don't have a fitbit, but I'll look for my pedometer as I'm curious about how many steps I get in.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Bopper, thinking of you.       <description>&lt;P&gt;Happy Saturday to all. Enjoy your weekend. Bopper, enjoy the wedding!&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Yeaterday was a better day at work in that I finally did some sit-down work with the catalog system. Still, I'm pooped today. So, one week down - and I think I'll love this job. My boss is terrific - after working with her for a week, I like her as much as I did in the interview. Yesterday, I also had opportunity to chitchat with a couple of the other aides. All the people I've encountered are very nice, casual, open. Much different from Sales people I've worked with in the past. I like there's no dead time, there's always something to do. And I don't mind shelving books....it gets a bit old after doing it for hours, but there's satisfaction in creating order and getting books where they need to be. Previously I had a part-time job that I hated and dreaded gping to, and then anothervthatvI didn't dread but I didn't particularly enjoy. I think I'll like this one. I can't think of anything I'd rather be doing. That's a good sign I've found the right job. They offer classes for the aides to help them become clerks, so down the road, I may take advantage of that. I kind of think I've found a new home. 😃&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I'm going to play today ... spending the day with a friend. Tomorrow will be groceries and chores. I haven't figured out a new workout schedule, but I'm not going to beat myself up about that. I'll get going again soon.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;EM&gt;&lt;FONT face="georgia,palatino" size="3" color="#008080"&gt;&lt;a href="https://community.qvc.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/37168"&gt;@nomless﻿&lt;/a&gt;, it's always to like your job if you have to work but even more important to like your boss and coworkers. &amp;nbsp;Retirement is nice but to be honest, I felt more financially stable when I was working. &amp;nbsp;My pension is one of the ones that's not considered stable.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;EM&gt;&lt;FONT face="georgia,palatino" size="3" color="#008080"&gt;I went to a funeral yesterday and believe it or not, I missed not being able to exercise. &amp;nbsp;It was a very long day with th funeral and helping out at the repass. &amp;nbsp;When I got home, the bed is all I wanted.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;EM&gt;&lt;FONT face="georgia,palatino" size="3" color="#008080"&gt;As you all know, at repasses, there is a lot of food. &amp;nbsp;I didn't eat much then but today, I went at it, lol. &amp;nbsp;There was so much food that everyone brought loads of stuff home. &amp;nbsp;Three desserts...banana pudding, caramel cake and red velvet cake. &amp;nbsp;Hubby made be bring it home, lol. &amp;nbsp;Oh, I forgot there was peach cobbler, too. &amp;nbsp;I'm done with it, though.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;EM&gt;&lt;FONT face="georgia,palatino" size="3" color="#008080"&gt;I went to my fitness center and walked two plus miles and decided that was enough to counter any guilt that I was having.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
