ALERT Epipen users!

I saw this on Doctoroz.com this morning! If you need the epipen and you can't afford it..there is a generic ADRENACLICK...for a fraction of the cost! Same drug..just go to doctoroz.com!!!!!!

Excellent, thank you for posting this....

My oldest son was stung by a bee on his neck while riding his motorcycle and he had a severe reaction. Got to the hospital in time (thank God).... was never allergic to bee stings before and has not had another reaction since BUT having an Epi pen around is just good sense. He can't afford the new prices as I'm sure many can't....

BTW, I was a witness to his reaction and believe me it's brutal and unbelieveable that the human body can react that severely and quickly.... Never again if we can help it.

Never heard of it, if I was an Epipen user, I wouldn't use it unless my own doc wrote the script for it. Also, Epipens are by scription only, you can't just buy whatever you want. To be honest, when it comes to something is only used in life threatening situations, I would never think about taking the cheap way out.

Thanks for posting this reminder. The price hike was ridiculous and people need to know there are other (and cheaper) brands available...and have been for a long time.

And the fact still remains that you can purchase a vial of epi and a syringe for about $20 and the pharmacist will teach you how to draw it up and inject it. The medication is not exclusive to mylan labs - just the epipen delivery system. I had to learn how to do this when I was a small child - if I could do it at 6 years old anyone can learn to do it.

Wait ... Is Dr Oz selling Adrenaclick pens on his website?

Not sure if this show was a re-run, but in all the previous Epipen threads on here, Adrenaclick was mentioned. It's a good reminder, but this is old news.

@Q4u -I am like your son. Many years ago I was at beach with my kids - got stung on the forehead by a sweat bee. Went home and was feeling very tired (thought I got too much sun because I don't handle sunburn well). Woke up (I'm lucky I did) and when I opened my eyes, I could see my forehead! I couldn't walk and was having a problem breathing. Crawled to phone and called husband who got me to doctor. I also had an egg sized area behind my ear where the poison ended up (that egg sized area stayed there for a month or more). Dr. gave me a shot but said I'm the type of person they find dead in their car by the side of the road thinking the person is dead because of a heart attack. Epipens are crucial to people like us.

Oh my gosh, how frightening.... especially with no prior history to give any warning. Unbelievable what happened to you.... and as I said, it happens SO FAST and furious that watching it happen to someone is like out of a horror movie..... so glad you were able to get help~!!
