Rolfing is an extremely deep form of massage that works to re-align your body. Because they work so deeply--it can be extremely painful while you're getting it done. However, it can help to realign the body so wonderfully, that it ends up really eliminating pain for a period after the sessions. That's been the case with me!!

I have severe joint issues. I've had a number of surgeries and one joint replacement (knee)--with more replacements scheduled (the other knee, both ankles and both shoulders). Due the the issues in multiple joints, I walk in a very imbalanced way and I am always in a lot of pain.

Rolfing has been something that's given me some relief in dealing with these multiple issues and I am curious if others have also found a benefit from it.

Over the many years since then, if I would injure something, it was always on the right side. Once I began Rolfing & working out the fascia kinks, especially on my right side, my flexibility/mobility became much, much better....and injuries are far & few.

Massage, chiropractor, Rolfing...they all have their place, but if I have any sort of kink, I immediately go to my Rolfer. It hurts, but it's a good hurt. Foam rolling on Steriods!!! Ha.

Yes, I went through the 10 week series of Rolfing about 15 years ago when I was having terrible back pain with muscle spasms. I have to admit that my back problems really became much better after Rolfing. at that time, my joints were just starting to bother me.

I have since had both knees and both hips replaced, and my back is now mostly free from any pain at all. The bad joints contributed to my back issues. With the new joints I walk straighter with no limp.
