topic Melanoma Survivor Question in Wellness

I was diagnosed with melanoma one year ago. Fortunately, the tumor was contained and had not spread to any other nodes.

I have been back once to my oncologist for my 6 mos. checkup and am scheduled to go for my one year check up next week. I am wondering if I should also see a dermatologist, or is my oncologist sufficient. I have lots of moles (especially on my back) that I can't watch very easily. There is one mole on my ankle that he says we need to watch. It's actually a very cute little mole and doesn't seem nearly as "ugly" as some of my other moles on my back.

I had assumed that seeing an oncologist was all I needed, but have read on other melanoma sites that you should see an oncologist and a dermatologist, but none of them really say why. This seems a liitle repetitive to me, but would like other opinions on this. i will also ask my oncologist next week when I see him, but would like your feedback as well. Thanks!
