Read today that she got really scared and upset because her brother left her in an airport to make a plane herself. Poor thing, I wonder if she wouldn't have been better off without being on TV.

Well, maybe, if she's limited in some way, but otherwise, there must be something else to this story. Not sure why her success on TV is responsible for making her life tough. Are there details? I know only that she has a lovely voice.

Yes, she does. Even though she may function at a relatively high level for those with Asperger's, I can understand why this situation upset her to such a degree. (My now deceased nephew had Asperger's. Sister and BIL refused any treatment.)

That is sad. I hope she has a good, ethical person who is taking care of her finances so no one takes advantage of her.

Perhaps someone like a hired personal assistant, friend, or family member should accompany her when she travels so she isn't so alone, and for safety reasons. The world can be a bit overwhelming at times, for anyone.

Since this was her brother who left her, she has grown up with him and the rest of her family without the diagnosis of Asperger's and managed to cope before this was known. I'm guessing that her brother treated her/responded to her like he has for decades and doesn't think to provide any special accommodation over what he or the family always have. Old habits die hard.

Even people without her handicap can suddenly and without warning have a panic attack about something (crowds, flying, small spaces, etc.) even when they've never even had a whisper of trouble before. Not saying this is what happened.... just something that came to mind...

I am saddened to hear about her struggles. I have her version of "Amazing Grace" on my iPod. When I feel stressed, she comforts me, yet she struggles to find comfort. Seems ironic and unfair. I wish her well.

After reading that, outbursts are not new for her. A shame on several levels. If she hadn't found fame she wouldn't be in these positions as much, but if she hadn't found fame, authorities would not be treating her public outbursts so sympathetically either.

And we can't know, if she has arguments routinely with her family, if she is usually the "cause" or it's her family. It can't always have been easy to live with her, with or without a diagnosis.

It creates a lot of anxiety, fears, and panic disorders.

Even people who have no medical issues or conditions may sometimes become overwhelmed in crowded situations and become anxious, stressed, very frightened, become agitated, have panic attacks, and become extremely disoriented.

Very frightening absolutely, nevertheless but this can and does occur.......so I can easily sympathize and understand how Susan Boyle felt, especially considering her Medical disability.

"May God continue to watch over her, and I hope she is never left alone in this type of situation ever again.

Susan should always have someone accompany her, to keep her feeling very safe, cared for, and very calm.

Life in general is never easy but kudos to Susan as she most certainly has come a very long way and travelled a very hard road, and her success is certainly overdue and well deserved.

Susan was most certainly gifted by God to have the voice of an Angel, in spite of her medical disability, and any other problems she may have.

Others often try to emulate her, but there is only one Susan Boyle, and the world is a better place for that!
