I was wondering if anyone has had any kind of organ prolape? I have a bladder prolapse and I'm using a pessary which is only partially working. I had a hysterectomy in May which probaby helped extend the prolapse.

I do not want another surgery so I have been going to physical therapy to help stregthen the muscles. I was wondering if anyone else has done the PT and if it worked.

Luckily that is something I don't have. But it often happens has you get older, have several babies (and you name it).

A long time ago that there are ways to re-strengthen that and to help keep it from happening. One easy way are kiegel (sp) exercises. When you urinate you constantly stop in mid-stream over and over. It strengthens the muscle. When you are sitting anywhere or standing, draw up that muscle, hold for a few seconds, then do it over and over.

I know 2 people who have had good results from having Biotoxin applied. That's an alternative to an operation.

My elderly mother had a pessary for many, many years due to uterine prolapse, she needed a hysterectomy and refused to have it, this was an alternative, and it turned out to be a good one for her.

I was reading about this on another forum this week. Ladies who couldn't or didn't want to work with a physical therapist were using three different things you could buy online which helped you train the correct muscles to help this problem.
