Can anyone recommend a decently priced home TENS unit?

I would like to have one of these units to use at home. Does anyone know where you can purchase one that is not really high? I have no idea what they cost. Maybe they are too exorbitant in price for me. But I thought I would ask and see if anyone has these things and what they would recommend. Thanks a lot!!!

This is a covered Durable Medical Equipment under your health insurance if it medically necessary depending on your plan. If your physician agrees and provides the written order, they may know a provider to obtain.

Check your DME coverage under your insurance plan. I hope this helps.

I purchased one from HSN, for my use it is great. There are many different levels and lengths of time for use. I have worn it to work with no problems. The only thing I do not like about it is when you set the program you want to use and it has run its course the actual unit does not shut off, you have to manually shut it off or the batteries will run out, otherwise I realy like it. The unit was a TSV, Tony Little product.

I bought the Tony Little one off of HSN. It works wonderfully and has a nice assortment of the pads.

You are a couple days late putting this up. A few days ago they had on hsn, 2 Tony Little TENS units for less than $90, total delivered. Seems like the most of the reviews I've read about his are mostly good ones.

Might check out and see if they still have it for that price, but it was a ts, or whatever they call the thing for the day.

I have one my physical therapist ordered for me. After I had it a few months, my insurance company bought it and sent me the warranty. I have chronic lower back pain and it really didn't help.

@AngelPuppy1, I bought mine online from Costco (Canada). It is both a tens machine and an EMS machine. I am going to make an appointment with my physio clinic to ensure I know how to use it properly. LM

I had not thought of that! Thanks -- I will look into it. I have a lingering ankle issue which I am being treated for, so perhaps I can be issued a prescription!!!

Oh, I am sorry that it did not help you! I am going to PT currently and they use one on me and it helps a lot. Of course, it is a professional one which I know I could not afford!!!

@AngelPuppy1, as I understand it, TENS is for nerve pain and EMS is for muscle pain. Google to read more. It's also a good idea to have instruction for use. LM

I agree with the posters who suggest talking to your medical provider\PT. This way, you can look into getting a medical grade unit that could be covered through your health insurance.

Another vote for Tony Little T.E.N.S.. It really works. I was having pain in my elbow & used it for 4-5 mos. My pain went away. Don't know what was causing it but it has not came back. During that time I went to Fl & was able to use it in the car. You did just miss the BOGO TS they had on it. That was a good deal.

We bought two Ultima 5 tens units from the Chripractor. I get the electrode pads on ebay.
